I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shera, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The starters were absolutely divine - we indulged in chicken dumplings, lamb crispy dumplings, and malai tikka, and all three were simply amazing. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and it set a high standard for the rest of the meal.
Moving on to the mains, the cumin lamb was a standout dish. It was cooked to perfection, tender, and packed with aromatic spices. While the chili chicken was enjoyable, it fell slightly short of expectations in terms of tenderness. Nonetheless, the overall quality of the food was excellent.
What truly elevated our experience was the impeccable service. Our lady server was incredibly polite and kind, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. In fact, the entire staff at Shera was exceptional, and their hospitality surpassed that of many French restaurants in the area.
One incident worth mentioning is when we ordered a dessert for a friend, a chocolate mousse-like treat. Unfortunately, it contained nuts, and the server forgot to inform us. However, they more than made up for it by graciously not charging us for the dessert. Their gesture was truly appreciated and reflected their commitment to customer satisfaction.
Overall, dining at Shera was a memorable experience, and I am thrilled to have discovered this gem. I would eagerly return for another visit. For anyone craving the flavors of South Asia and missing the delights of samosas and street Chinese food, Shera is the place to be. And for me, the icing on the cake was knowing that it's completely Halal - a...
Read moreEach time I visit Paris now, I make a visit to Shera for dinner for some delicious Indo-Chinese food. The decor is lovely (lots of plants and soft lighting, and unique cutlery design), and the staff couldn't be more welcoming, friendly and efficient.
On this visit, we started with a couple of cocktails, which were great - we chose The Roarrr and the Darjeeling Negroni and really enjoyed them. The mushroom momos and the cumin lamb were the stars of the night, and the recommendation of the garlic & coriander naan instead of the chilli cheese one with our mains was a great suggestions (though I've had the chilli cheese one before - it's really good). We had a couple glasses of Indian wine with our mains (1 x Shiraz, 1 x Sauvignon) which were decent house wines. Our desserts were also very tasty, and I especially enjoy the chai creme brulee.
FYI - They accept walk-in's, but if you are planning to visit during the weekend, I would highly recommend reserving a table - it's not a huge restaurant so can fill up very quickly.
See you again soon...
Read moreWorst dining experience in Paris- two of us visited Shera on a weekend. Being apprehensive of the indian restaurants in paris we ordered less food with the intention of ordering more. The food was okay but not great especially considering that it was nowhere how the same dishes actually taste in India (lollipop and manchurian). The ambiance was not the best and that’s how my friend reviewed it on Google. We received a call today from the owner and under the guise of knowing what went wrong he started berating us for ordering less and implying that we ate less so that’s why we couldn’t enjoy and that as Indians we should have been more supportive even if our expectations weren’t met. The call lasted about half hour and the owner regularly mentioned how ‘appalled’ he was by the honest review and that we are biased for some reason. The simple fact was that the food was not as per the expectations and he seemed to accept pretty quickly to that while arguing over more mundane things like why we did not like...
