Long story short: I am a vegetarian my whole life. When I ordered my food, I confirmed with the server that everything in my order was vegetarian. Yet, they served me chicken instead of tofu (and I only realized it when I ate it.) But that's not my issue. I understand that mistakes happen. It's how you handle it afterwards.
When pointed out, the server just says "Oh", and goes back to the kitchen. No response for 10 minutes. We need to work to grab his attention. Our replacement "thali" comes with just the chicken curry swapped; the rest of the food is still old and cold, and in previous contact with the chicken curry!
We mention to the server that they should be more careful, and the server quickly says "It was a mistake" and runs away. We talk to the restaurant owner, and he also shrugs and dismisses the issue quickly saying "mistakes happen".
There is no apology. There is no empathy to our situation. We had one of the worst experiences here, and wouldn't recommend the restaurant to anyone due to the behavior of the owner...

However, the food was a pleasant surprise. Mildly spicy, fresh, hot, delicious (à bit too much oil - normal for restaurants though) and served with a smile. The presentation isn't great, but the taste is....and that's what matters. 😋😊
They make fresh Paneer everyday, and apparently are doing a very good business for takeaway.
The entire staff is from Punjab, and very friendly.
