Tempête — Restaurant in Paris

We came for our reservation for the New Years Eve and I’m so glad we did! We managed to get a cancelled reservation or a sudden open spot as this place was fully booked for the evening. As we did such a short notice booking we did not get the chance to notify the restaurant that we are pescatarians. We knew that there was a set menu for the night. The staff was so kind and immediately asked the kitchen to adjust the menu for us so that we can have a meal based on our dietary preferences. I know it’s not always easy to make changes especially on a special night. But they were really flexible and knew how to make it work.

Food was from another universe! Really. Modern and with great flavour combinations. Suitable for a celebration dinner! The wine list is crazy good and the cocktails also yummy! We even got two desserts 😂 5/5 experience!

Sexy restaurant with excellent creative asian food.

The dark woods, marble counters, velvet and wood chairs, mood lighting, mirrors make for a very sexy vibe.

Foods were creative (there’s an enoki dish w Korean ramasco sauce that looked like tempura shrimp) and delicious.

There’s an Indian inspired fried chicken dish that the pickled veggies might have been too acid and not as balanced, but the chicken and spice levels were great.

Stracciatella w/ pomegranate was one of the best I’ve ever had.

Pork jowl w/ eggplant/aubergine was also fantastic.

I think I liked the entree/appetizers more than the mains. (Shiitake mushroom mains has a deep flavoring to it, but after w bites, too much/too salty)

I would definitely come back and tell others about this gem.

Alltogether, this is a quite decent place, if you're willing to pay a little extra. The dishes were quite unique, fusion, and freshly made. Not everything lives up to the fancy name, for instance fried chicken with salad will stay fried chicken with salad, no matter the fancy marinade. But others are genuinly excellent. In some cases this feels a little overpriced. Assortment of wine is excellent, the waiters - all very nice - give their best, but are clearly no wine experts. Personally I dont mind, so I wouldnt deduct points for that. The place itself wasnt the most comfortable to sit and a cool breeze was constantly blowing, I found that to be the most annoying part.
