Update:
After I wrote my review, Manager did come back and interact me for which give him full credit. He ended up understanding his misreading of the situation.
Therefore i will update my rating to reflect the situation as I am looking forward to trying their brunch buffet.

My rating is a bit unfair. As it is mainly regarding my interaction with the manager.
He unnecessarily injected himself into a conversation and “managed”to turn a good experience into a bad one!!
It takes a special combination of comically bad skills to achieve that.
Situation: Almost at the end of my breakfast, i realized they were setting up a rather good looking brunch.
I expressed my disappointment to the guys saying “you guys could have told me you have a such a good brunch coming”
One guy jokingly said that I could go for another round if I wanted. I quipped: “so then… will you give me a discount for the brunch?”
The whole thing could have stopped at “…sorry we can’t”. But…
In comes the manager (“Like a bull in a china shop”) thinking I came to complain, demanding a discount because of their lack of brunch disclosure.
It went the way you can imagine…
My advice: shut up, make sure you understand the context first.

Read moreThis restaurant is located directly across the street from the Gare de l’Est station. I stopped here for some breakfast & to do some work on my computer. It was a lovely experience with friendly waiters, a great environment, and delicious food. This could have all been ruined (by me) because after spending a few hours here I left with my backpack but forgot my handbag, which had my passport, money, and Visa cards. I didn’t realize until a few hours later when I received a message from Charly, the manager. He went ABOVE and beyond to contact me by finding me on LinkedIn and contacting the US Embassy in Paris since my handbag had no contact information inside. I am highly impressed with this restaurant and the staff members for their customer service and care. I will return each time I come to Paris by train.

Read moreI asked for the wifi password and tried to connect It took 25 minutes to connect to Wi-Fi with password wifi password was correct but there was no internet connection I wanted to leave the cafe and asked if there was no connection I would leave they told me to order my food, they said internet connection would not be a problem “as soon as they brought the food to the table, they asked me to pay even though I didn't asked for the bill”. However, I did not want the bill and was planning to sit more. This was passive aggressive behavior and I felt attacked. I asked the other man at the bar about connection and he said he couldn't help me
