Toto Sushi. — Restaurant in Paris

Second night in Paris we were going to Pierre Sang in Oberkampf. We lined up at about 6:30 (no reservations) and waited for the opening at 7:00 wanting to snag a couple of counter seats. At 6:45 a chartered bus pulled up and about 30 people got out and were marched in by the staff. I looked at my wife and said this is going to be a disaster. Not to fear, a minute later Pierre Sang Boyer appears and pulls us aside. He apologizes several times for the bus load of people but assures us a wonderful meal at his new restaurant Pierre Sang on Gambey just a few doors down from Oberkampf and is technically still in "soft opening" status. Sleek modern and stylish inside, very nice. If you think that Chef Boyer simply shifted us for convenience, he took us there gave us the seats looking into the kitchen and checked in with us personally at least 6 times over the next 3 hours. Amazing staff and amazing food!

Me and my girlfriend had dinner at Toto and as sushi lovers we were very happy with the selection of sushi and even more so with our server. We were offered a new platter that would come next week as they were in the process of switching menu. It was some dragon rolls with fried shrimp and avocado. It was really super good!! Then our server offered to take a picture of us if we wanted which was sweet and then after that we got a free little dessert 👌 the only thing we would complain about was another lady working there. If it was the owner or another server, i dont know. She was eating grapes at a another table in the resturant and she just spit the stones on the table as she was eating. Not very appetizing to see during your dinner. Other than that, it was a really great place! Will come...

Food is decent, sushi was ok but they do have some nice hot dish options.

But be careful with “La fourchette” reservation. I had a 20% discount coupon that translated to a 2,5 euros discount on a 42 euros bill which I find ridiculous. Lady said the only eligible item was the nems.

I feel obliged to write this review since I feel a bit of disonesty on attracting customers with discounts and not honoring them.

Response to restaurant: when arriving we announced having the reservation. if the discount is restrictedyou need to make it transparent to customers and not tell it only at time of payment. What “a la...
