I Quattro-Canti Rennes — Restaurant in Rennes

We arrived at restaurant opening time 7pm, a table of 4. We were the first diners of the evening, and we ordered wine, water, a starter of cold meats to share; plus 3 pizza & 1 pasta dish for main course. We were served the wine & water fairly immediately, the starter followed perhaps 10 minutes later. Other guests came into the restaurant, and we noted the table adjacent being served their pizzas within 15 mins of order. We waited an eternity for our main course, but alas nothing. Around 8pm, we asked the waitress if the pizzas were imminent, to be told 'they're in the oven'. Still no pizzas by 8.15pm we got up to leave, firstly (over)paying the bill for wine, water and starter. We expressed disappointment as to how we had been neglected, as our mains order had clearly been forgotten. Rather than an apology, we were treated to a barrage of indignation, arrogance, and bad manners from the upstart waitress - as cheeky a madam as one might ever encounter. We opened menu and prices where high and we kinda thought that it would be equivalent but… chicken had no flavor, texture was not it and over all, have you ever seen a Italian restaurant without bolognese???????? Just at the end of the famous Rue St George you will find the small and lovely Monte Cristo restaurants with excellent service, incredible pasta and pizza and don’t forget to order some dessert because u won’t regret it.
