A lovely unassuming place filled with culinary delights and perfect service. Why eat non-French food in France? We chose it for its local focus and natural wine and this place does not disappoint. Delicious starter was an egg perfectly cooked lacing a leek based Puree they called âOeuf Parfaitâ with 12 Huitres from Cancale literally brought the sea to me followed by their fish and a perfectly done pasta dish they call Ravioli but it was a thin blanket of pasta enveloping a ricotta and sliced eggplant sitting on bed of perfectly cooked juicy tomatoes accompanied by three perfectly aged natural white wine. They write their daily menu on chalkboards and our waitress grabbed one and explained everything in great detail. She was such a lovely young lady from Columbia who spoke impeccable English, French and of course Spanish. Habituellement reconnu pour son atmosphĂšre chaleureuse et ses plats frais Ă l'ardoise, ce repas fut un vĂ©ritable fiasco. Si la qualitĂ© des plats est essentielle Ă la rĂ©putation dâun restaurant, l'accueil et le service le sont tout autant. Et câest lĂ que le bas blesse.
L'attitude du serveur a totalement gĂąchĂ© notre expĂ©rience. Jâai rarement vu un comportement aussi nĂ©gligĂ© et irrespectueux envers des clients. DĂšs notre arrivĂ©e, lâaccueil Ă©tait froid, mais ce nâĂ©tait que le dĂ©but. Les remarques dĂ©sobligeantes telles que "je vous avais prĂ©venu" et un air de "je m'en fiche" Ă©taient difficiles Ă ignorer. L'attitude "foutiste" de ce serveur Ă©tait clairement perceptible, et il n'a mĂȘme pas pris la peine de ramasser l'ardoise tombĂ©e sur le sol. Un manque de professionnalisme total !
Il a semblé agacé lorsque nous avons pris un peu de temps pour choisir un autre plat en raison de l'indisponibilité de celui que nous souhaitions. PlutÎt que de nous proposer des alternatives avec courtoisie, il s'est simplement installé à notre table, adoptant une attitude nonchalante. Ce genre de comportement est totalement inacceptable dans un établissement qui se veut de qualité.
Je tiens Ă©galement Ă souligner que, heureusement, ce sont ses deux collĂšgues qui ont pris le relais Ă la fin, car il nâa mĂȘme pas eu la dĂ©cence de terminer son service.
