La Barbue — Restaurant in Rouen

We have just left La Barbue and I have got to leave a review. From the first moment we were given the warmest of welcomes and made to feel relaxed and comfortable.

Seated with an amuse bouche and served excellent wine from the menu.

The menu is excellent. Not too much choice but something for everyone! Some great Normandy dishes, all freshly made and home cooked to order.

My wife had the Burrata with pesto maison and I had the Tartare de le Bouef. Fabulous.

There is a wonderful courtyard terrace with a lively bar next to it. This was not too noisy and created a wonderful buzz and energy.

Great value and beautiful food with excellent service. If you are in Rouen, this place absolutely deserves your attention!

Great wine and cheese at La Barbue, but the service was not great at all. We ordered a platter for 3, the hot Camembert, and the pesto toast as well as 2 bottles of Medoc wine. The food was lovely and so was the wine. However, we were placed at a very small table up the front with high stools when the place was empty (only two other tables were occupied). The staff never checked on us and we had to ask several times for more wine, plates, etc. We would have ordered dessert at the end, but we were fed up with being completely...

Une TRÈS belle adresse à Rouen, un accueil sympathique et chaleureux avec une décoration entre indus et authenticité, un côté champêtre où le bois se marie a merveille dans l’ensemble, petit bémol sur la météo qui ne nous a pas permit de profiter de la terrasse en cours intérieure qui est absolument charmante. Quant à la carte elle propose des produits en circuits courts Où j’ai pu trouver une côte de bœuf à la cuisson parfaitement maîtrisée accompagnée de différentes sauces maison et des pommes de terre grenailles juste parfaites. Un grand choix de vins où j’ai pris plaisir à déguster un Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil de bonne facture. Une très belle et bonne adresse.

Edit: je ne compte plus mes visites et toujours émerveillé, les serveuses sont a une mémoire sur nos goûts et envies. Il est rare et fort agréable de se sentir « reconnu » , une véritable valeur ajoutée à cette établissement, que une fois de plus je recommande...
