Le Boom Boom — Restaurant in Rouen

We were really looking forward to this place during our weekend in Rouen, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the most disappointing experience of our trip. The menu was quite basic and underwhelming, and while the decor is trendy and very Instagram-friendly, it felt like there was more focus on appearances than on quality or substance.

I ordered a cheeseburger, and right away I noticed a strange, unpleasant smell from the meat. My boyfriend thought I was overreacting and ended up eating it—he felt sick later that afternoon, which sadly confirmed my doubts. That was really upsetting.

This place may look nice in photos, but our experience didn’t live up to the hype at all. We won’t be returning, and we’d recommend others to be cautious and not let social media fool you. And your response to my review showed a level of arrogance that is completely unacceptable from a restaurant that’s supposed to be about hospitality...

We discovered le boom boom during our stay in Rouen, and what a delight! Felt like home, but with the finesse of European food and a gorgeous décor. Loved loved loved the people and the food. Can't wait to come back...
