This restaurant is a great spot for lunch, especially when the sun is out and you can enjoy the relaxed vibe. The menu is simple, straightforward, and easy to navigate, which makes ordering quick and stress-free. I started with a lentil salad topped with a perfectly poached egg, shallots, and a touch of smoked fatback. It was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the meal. Next, I couldn’t resist trying the steak tartare after spotting it on the table next to us—it looked too tempting to pass up! It was made with a creative twist, including pine nuts, parmesan cheese, and (if I’m not mistaken) a hint of basil oil. The dish came with beautifully roasted potatoes on the side, which added a warm, crispy contrast to the tartare. The only downside was that I ran into a few hard bits of meat in the tartare, which made it a little tough to chew at times. But that was a minor setback compared to the overall experience. To finish, I had the tarte Tatin, and it was a must-try. Served with a rich, creamy sauce, it was the perfect sweet ending to a lovely meal.

Wonderful location and very reasonable prices for their menu. We enjoyed the selection in the fixed menu. Unfortunately the waiter made a mistake on my wife's plat and she had the chicken instead of a Normandy duck dish she wanted. An honest mistake but not corrected when pointed out. He showed us his notes that showed the chicken and my wife dropped the issue and had the chicken. The food was great and we enjoyed the citron tart and creme brulee. The lady at the next table told the waiter that she heard my wife order the canard (in French which we understood). The waiter offered and brought us complimentary calvados which was great to finish of the meal. We understand honest mistakes are made when we don't speak the language well, we appreciated the woman letting him know the mistake discretely and that the waiter did try to make a gesture to make up for the mistake. The error was just an example of lost-in-translation and the adventure it brings. My wife got to try a chicken dish she hadn't heard of and wasn't expecting.

Spent a few days in Rouen this past week. An acquaintance recommended Le P’tit Zinc to us; we tried it and loved it so much we went back two more times. Tried the Beef dish, which was outstanding. Then tried veal chop dish which was phenomenally delicious! Service was excellent and atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner. On the second and third nights, the waiter surprised us with delicious appetizers to sample, and on the third night we were also surprised with after dinner drinks that just made our already amazing experience so much more special. If ever in Rouen, you should try this outstanding gem of a restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

We went to this restaurant on our first night in Rouen and it was one of the best choices we made during our conference trip. The waiters were very accommodating when an extra friend came to join us. The room was very atmospheric. The food packet was great. I had arancini as an appetizer and Angus steak with blue cheese for the main course. A perfect opening for my Rouen visit!

With such quality experience, we decided to return to this restaurant on our last evening. It seems that the restaurant has gained quite a good reputation among ourcolleagues (who attended the same conference as us). We had a fun closure of our Rouen visit. David, the charming owner of this restaurant, and his crew really did amazing job!

PS: The crispy snails and the veal head were...
