LISTO — Restaurant in Rouen

Coming from the Caribbean, we love eating what we call paté in Haiti and perhaps patty in Jamaica. While visiting this ecuadoran restaurant, I discovered another taste which I immediately fell in love. The empañada there tasted so good that I returned there twice and as if it wasn't enough, they serve the empanada with fried plantain. Boy they made me feel like I was at home and I enjoyed eating there. I you happen to visit the city of Rouen and you are craving for some Latin/Caribbean taste, I strongly recommend this place called Listo and I promise you that you won't regret it. Very disappointing. I went here and ordered take-out. I tried the fish ceviche, bolones, plantains and all their empanadas. I wish I had checked my order before leaving because the fish ceviche as in my photo were just microscopic bits of fish, I was hoping for something similar to the photos I saw on google. The fish were the same size or smaller than the bell peppers in the ceviche. The bolones were dry and hard. However the plantains were a generous portion and fresh. The carne empanada was tasty and so was the chèvre empanada (a definite highlight). The chicken empanada was a bit dry...

Il s'agit d'un petit restau tout en longueur, si vous venez à plus que 2, je recommande de réserver une table. L'ambiance est sympa et la serveuse est joviale, même avec les enfants. N'étant pas habitué à ce type de saveur, il s'agit d'une réelle découverte pour la part. Que ce soit les ceviches ou les empanadas, je ne peux que vous les recommander. Nous n'avons pas pris les bolones mais si je m'en fis aux autres clients, ça semble avoir du succès également. Pour ce qui est des ceviches, je fus agréablement surpris, c'est une soupe/salade froide. Pour les empanadas, je peux juste recommander d'essayer le plus de savoir possible sans vraiment ce référer aux ingrédients, il y en a pour tout les goûts et le plus épicé est le carne qui, franchement, ne l'ai pas tellement. Les chips de banane plantin, les sauces et les dessers font également le taf.

Si je devais donner un défaut au restau, ça serait la pâte qui enrobe les empanadas, le restau utilise une ingénieuse façon pour différencier les différentes empanadas. De ce fait, si on est pas spécialement fan du goût de la pâte, on se retrouve avec des amats de pates sur les bords de...
