Great option for a late dinner at St. Malo old town. They have a great atmosphere, nice music playing in the background, joyful vibe! The staff was great, very pleasant.

To eat we ordered beef with fries and the fish with risotto. Although my risotto was a little bit over for my taste, everything was well seasoned and tasted good. My husband said his beef was great, on the right temperature and the fries were from another world!

To drink we had the house cider that we enjoyed so much that we even brought a bottle home 😉

The only remark I have is regarding the table we had, it was facing the front door that was open all the time so it got a bit chilly as we were there after 10pm.

But overall, I really recommend this place for dinner in couple or family, it has a great atmosphere and the food does not disappoint.

A great find in the insanely touristy town of St. Malo. I was immediately attracted because outside they list their suppliers, which indicated that they wanted to advertise that they focus on quality. We had excellent salads. In fact, we had excellent salads 3 days during our stay (we didn't try the galettes because we had had very many at that point, a salad was a super-welcome change of pace). By the last day, they knew our order. The staff was lovely. My atmosphere review is based on the glassed-in terrace area we sat in all three times, which in nice weather they open up to the air. The rest of the main room was fine, but I don't know that I would have given it a 5. The upstairs has a low ceiling, which I might have found claustrophobic, but I didn't sit there so can't...

We were at Saint Malo on the Assumption Day (15th August) evening for a stroll. Looking for restaurant after the walk. A lot of places are fully booked and this place are not full at all so we sat down. Food is passable but it is at the bottom of the restaurants that we visited in Britainny for the week. When I paid, the waiter told me the total only and it was more than I expected. While paying for the bill, I asked for the bill and I think he pretended that he did not undertand or hear me - he has no problem taking our order earlier. Based on my own calculation, he has given himself a 15% tips. If I am in the area again, I will certainly avoid...

On a day trip from Jersey. We opted for the 3 course "Menu Breton" @ €38 a head. The choice was crevettes or goat's cheese toast salad to start, chicken in cider or Black Angus steak for main and chocolate crepe with vanilla ice cream or "far breton maison" for dessert. The portions are huge! And everything cooked to perfection. Some small savoury biscuits, bread rolls and butter are also included. Rather than wine, we went with a Breton dry cider. Staff are lovely - we were clearly there nearing the end of service, but we were not rushed at all. In amongst all the restaurants in St Malo, we were so happy to have eaten in this little gem.

We first thought, “no, not another crêperie” but we were tempted by the creative menu — sardine galette, pesto burrata with Serrano ham and rocket salad or grilled peach salad. The ham was of high quality melting in one’s mouth. The crème filling that accompanied the sardines was delicious. A bottle of their cider washed down the meal. We enjoyed sitting under the stone archway on the side of the restaurant and walked away happy with our choice of yeah, encores les galettes!
