Restaurant La Boucherie — Restaurant in Saint-Malo

Very disappointing. I ordered the Millefeuille de Boeuf. I had not read the menu completely, and I was not advised that I could take Haricot and butter beans as an option. So I had a sad salad. The meal arrived, it looked more like a child's portion. The plate was nearly cold and so was the beef and the frites. The butter sauce had solidified. I asked if that was normal and I was told I could have the meal re-heated. I accepted, and 2 minutes later a microwaved meal re-appeared. I read, after the meal, that the frites were à volonte, too late. And I was not offered any more. I decided not to risk a dessert. The coffee was good. I have to say that my partner had chosen the brochet de canard which was "good". When I went to pay, I was asked if I was satisfied with my meal, I said no and explained the issues. I received no apology and I was told I should have asked. He made me feel as if it was my fault. Très décevant. J'ai commandé le Millefeuille de Boeuf. Je n'avais pas complètement lu le menu et on ne m'a pas dit que je pouvais prendre Haricot et haricots beurre en option. Alors j'ai eu une salade triste. Le repas est arrivé, il ressemblait plus à une portion d'enfant. L'assiette était presque froide, tout comme le bœuf et les frites. La sauce au beurre s'était solidifiée. J'ai demandé si c'était normal et on m'a dit que c'est possible de faire réchauffer le repas. J'ai accepté, et 2 minutes plus tard, un repas au micro-ondes est réapparu. J'ai lu, après le repas, que les frites étaient à volonte, trop tard. Et on ne m'a plus rien proposé. J'ai décidé de ne pas risquer un dessert. Le café était bon. Je dois dire que ma partenaire avait choisi la brochette de canard qui était "bon". Quand je suis allé payer, on m'a demandé si j'étais satisfait de mon repas, j'ai dit non et expliqué les problèmes. Je n'ai reçu aucune excuse et on m'a dit que j'aurais dû demander. Il m'a fait sentir comme si c'était...

Worst service ever! The waiter told us that we had to ask him where to sit and now we had sit somewhere else. The other spot where we had to sit was in the sun without any shade. So, we asked if the parasol could be moved to provide some shade. The waiter looked at us as if we asked him for his ‘first born’ and told us again “I don’t like this”. And continued by saying that the parasols could not be moved. Horrible service, we went...

We arrived last friday with two small children as we were en route to the Ferry back to Ireland. We had a brief wait to be seated but the food was excellent and the service was second to none. I think our waiter was 'Pinpin' (at least that is what it said on the receipt) but he was wonderful!

Also, I am coelaic, so to get Gluten Free chips with my steak was wonderful.
