Restaurant Saint Vincent — Restaurant in Saint-Malo

The absolute worst restaurant in St Malo, and I must have eaten in half of them. No atmosphere. Worst fish and chips of my life. Should have put it straight in the bin. Microscopic piece of fish in greasy batter and a mountain of over cooked chips for 15€, I ate the tiny piece of fish and a few chips, thank God for the basket of bread or I would have starved. I offered to pay 10€ or nothing as I'd eaten the microscopic fish and drunk a glass of wine. He threatened to call the police. I told him the only crime that had been committed was putting that plate of crap in front of me instead of straight in the bin. Maybe the rest of the otherwise French menu is ok, I'll never know as I won't ever be going back. I was embarrassed that one of the French guests ordered the fish and chips too and will think that any restaurant or chippy in England would dare serve what was put in front of me to night. If the police are reading this, a terrible crime was committed this evening at Restaurant Saint Vincent, and I don't mean threatening me to make me pay for the plate of crap I was just served, the crime was calling it fish and chips and serving it to their french clients and insulting the entire UK... the RAF bombed St Malo as flat as a crepe in the war, they need to send a cruise missile to save the reputation of the honest British fish and chip shop. Entente cordiale was destroyed...

We had a very negative experience at this restaurant. Unfortunately, we cannot comment on the quality of the food or drinks, as we were not even allowed to enter. The reason was the presence of a child and a stroller. Initially, we were told there was space for three people. However, when the staff saw from a distance that we had a child in a stroller, they immediately said it would not be possible for us to dine there. We were not insisting on bringing the entire stroller inside — we offered to fold it and place it in a corner of the restaurant. Nevertheless, they refused, stating that with a child we could not enter at all.

One of the worst meals I have had I France and worst service. It took us 4.5 hours from sitting down to ordering and getting out dessert.. which try ran out of. That’s not all they ran out of.. ordered the filet because we kept seeing other customers getting this nice thick cut of meat. Well by the time we got out main course we realized they ran out of meat and cut one filet down the middle and gave it to us for two meals!! The thin cut that they did give was drowning in oily onions that gave both of us diarrhea the next day. I swear on my life I am not making any of this up. They place is the definition of tourist...
