What a wonderful and delicious experience! Realizing only now as we reconnect to free WiFi that the restaurant wasn’t even technically open today but you’d never know from the incredibly gracious, warm, welcome we received when we walked up. JB and Paula might be some of the kindest people we’ve ever met on our travels. JB invited us right into the kitchen and explained the whole menu (we don’t know any French) and showed us all the food they’d been making then made to order our selections while we sipped cold rosé and Caribe and Paula held our squirmy 16 month old so we could eat their mouthwateringly delectable cordon bleu and the Bavette (get it with the mushroom sauce!!) The owner ‘s, also being the Chef and his wife were the most gracious hosts. They warmly welcomed us into the kitchen showing each dish freshly prepared. Truly one of the greatest meals I have ever had. I ordered the Cordon Blue because my husband raved about it although he chose the pork loin this visit (seriously to die for). I wanted him to enjoy my leftovers as the portions are quite large. If you finish your plate JB is happy to fill it again because his mission is to send you away as satisfied as possible. Do not sleep on this place! We came looking for a late lunch in Marigot and saw all of the positive reviews for this restaurant, so we decided to try it out. Everything you have read is true! It appears unassuming at first but this is a hidden gem. The owner is very kind and sat down with us to explain everything they have available. We got the lasagna and the Cordon Bleu with mushroom sauce and cauliflower gratin. It was all amazing! Not to mention the homemade chocolate mousse the owner's wife makes.
