SO BENEDICT — Restaurant in Saint Martin (France)

We simply loved this place. Quaint location, very friendly staff and superb breakfast. We had the tuna tartar Benedict and the salmon tartine -- both were delicious so we returned the next day. Our second breakfast was a Mediterranean quiche and salmon quiche -- again very good! The quiche were more frittata style, without a rough puff pastry crust, but very filling and savory. We will return to So Benedict for our final breakfast on the island tomorrow after having a disappointing breakfast experience today at Zee...

The food wasn't bad. I probably won't come again and that is only because there are a lot of great places to eat in St. Martin/St. Maarten.

There was a little bit of a language barrier, but that is to be expected on the French side. Just slight confusion when it came to ordering and what we were getting/wanted.

We did enjoy sitting outside and just taking a quick bite.

There wasn't many options for pastries that I liked, but I think others would love.

I normally do not give negative reviews. But as I was waiting to place an order, one of the staff entered the kitchen area blew her nose with a napkin. Stuffed the napkin in her pocket, then picked up a customer's plate to take to their table. I was disgusted. She should have gone to the bathroom to blow her nose, and washed hand before returning.
