La Brasserie du Terroir — Restaurant in Sarcelles

My airlines crew buddies and I found this casual and welcoming restaurant after being turned down by a restaurant in a hotel nearby for wearing shorts. Our bad...not! La Brasserie du Terroir's server welcomed us very warmly the moment we walked in and laughed with us when we told her we had just been turned down by one of their closest competitors. Let me tell you this! It was a blessing in disguise! My one buddy and I had this delicious fish dish which I called "La Fish with savory country potatoes" which was la delicious! The other buddy had a burger and fries and he said it was la delicious as well. I had a Saltimboca, which was three pieces of meat rolled up and stuffed with chard or spinach. The meat was partially raw, yet chewy and bland. It had neither sage nor prosciutto and had nothing to do with a Saltimboca. The pasta was overcooked and swam in tons of watery cheese sauce. We also had a salad and a burger. The Burger was OK but drowned in overly sweet BBQ Sauce and the bread seemed old. The salad was probably the best, but also drowned in Sauce. We had 3 set menus but the owner insisted we pay much more than we should since we were 4 people, ignoring that 2 of the group were kids. No one said something about that when wr ordered, which was disappointing and left us very upset. The fish and chips was tasty for the children. The other dishes were avarage at the most, the cod was not cooked well. The apple tart was not good and the chocolote desert was not hot as should have been but was tasty. The service was very good.
