Køstën Plage — Restaurant in Sartène

I have been at this place both for eating at the restaurant and another time for a day to the Santa Giulia beach at their sunbed rental space.

Restaurant: fresh food, good quality of ingredients and very big portions, we ordered several items as usually in these beach restaurants portions are even smaller than usual, but instead we were really surprised when we saw the waitress arriving with a huge tray and big plates! Just be aware of that. They have several vegetarian options it was honestly like seeing water in the desert to me while on my vacation in Corsica 😁

Sunbed rental: it is a bit more expensive than other places (50€ pp + you must eat there for lunch). But this place is so amazing that we ended up staying for dinner and drinks too! Therefore at the end of the day it might come to a substantial bill, but here is the thing: rest assured you are treated like a Queen/King! Staff is very attentive, professional and gentile. Great menu, fresh food. Lots of vegetarian options. Service is fast even when it comes to ordering lunch and receiving the food you ordered meanwhile the restaurant is full. Our waitress was just amazing, I don’t remember her name (black long hair on a pony tail, I was looking for you for giving you a deserved tip for your kindness and amazing service but unfortunately you had already left).

The sunbed area is private for real, meaning you don’t have many people coming and going around you so you are there in peace and the space is quiet. The beach is beautiful and water is clear and pretty warm in July. Nice snorkeling area on the side with a lot to explore although the current can be strong, be careful and also swim buoy is highly recommended because there are a lot of boats and water sport people around.

Cons: you will have disgusting people smoking cigarettes around you who in 2025 still don’t give a damn about others and having the decency of staying away to smoke. You will have to pay to use the shower as they work with 1€ coins per timed shower. Considering the price when I saw the paying machine system I was like: come on, really?!😄 I mean I find it a bit cheap! So, I would include the free shower in the sunbeds rental service. I find it more valuable and a must to have with sunbeds more than giving a free towel and bottle of water included in the rental. If I were in the management I would work on these two issues.

Other than that a big thank you to the whole team because we enjoyed our day at the beach. We will come back one...

Unfortunately, our stay was unpleasant. We spent 100 euros on two sunbeds and one umbrella, which included two towels and a bottle of water. However, we were disappointed when a woman immediately approached us because our daughter had a small snack we had brought ourselves. She informed us that this was not allowed because they also run a restaurant… Excuse me?! We were surprised, as our daughter was eating some chips on the beach and not in the restaurant. This is not how guests should be treated, especially those who have spent around 150 euros for the day. We had planned to have lunch at the restaurant, but after this bad experience, we decided not to. We will certainly not come back and we cannot recommend this place for the mentioned reason. Whether it was the lady's decision or the owner's policy, please be more mindful of how you treat your guests. Besides this, the setting is great and sun beds are of high quality.

Quelle expérience déplorable…

Nous étions venus pour passer un moment agréable au bord de la plage, espérant savourer de bons cocktails.

La première impression ? Un service type “self” où l’on doit prendre soi-même ses boissons au bar (alors que nous sommes arrivés après 18h et c’est marqué qu’après 18h c’est service à table). Pas un sourire, pas un mot de la part du serveur, comme si chaque syllabe coûtait un bras. On se demande s’il est payé à l’économie de mots… D’ailleurs cela rejoint quelques avis déjà postés.

Et ce n’est pas fini. Après avoir dû attendre nos boissons au bar et avoir du les ramener nous même à table (comme si ramener un cocktail à une table était une mission impossible), on se retrouve avec des cocktails aussi insipides que mal préparés.

Ma pina colada, en particulier, avait un goût suspect… et je ne m’étais pas trompée ! Quelques gorgées plus tard, me voilà avec un mal de ventre pas possible. Merci à eux d’avoir ruiné mon dîner du soir dans un restaurant chic. D’ailleurs, le mélange de pina colada était dans un blender qui n’était pas au frais. Je ne sais pas depuis combien de temps il ne l’était pas mais cela m’a rendu malade donc visiblement longtemps. Avec du lait de coco ça ne pardonne pas.

Le seul point positif ? Le cadre, agréable, certes… mais si vous voulez profiter de la vue, je vous conseille de venir avec votre propre thermos de cocktails faits maison. Ils seront sûrement meilleurs et moins chers.

Peu importe votre réponse et fonctionnement pourri. Le fait est que payer des cocktails 13€ pour qu’ils soient degueulasses et qu’on ait une porte de prison en tant que serveur, c’est nul et vous n’avez aucune justification. Concernant la fraîcheur de votre produit, assumez le fait que le blender n’était pas au frigo et m’a probablement rendu malade. D’ailleurs j’ai vomi. Vu la gentillesse du staf, nous n’avons pas trouvé utile d’aller nous plaindre du goût des cocktails si c’est pour se prendre un aller retour. Et arrêtez de répondre comme une aigri à tous les commentaires et assumez la nullité du service. D’ailleurs je me ferai un plaisir de vérifier le bien être de vos clients dont j’ai fait partie avec une inspection qui me paraît nécessaire au vu de l’intoxication que j’ai eu dans votre...
