We stayed in this structure in July 2019. Santa Giulia bay is fantastic, we love Corsica and we came here many times. Last year we wanted to have a very good staying so we decided to book this structure for the first time. Reviews are great so we were sure to be happy. That wasn't the case unfortunately. prices are very high, we spent € 460 per night average for what they call "premium suite". outside everything is dirty, the door, stairs, the room itself is not super clean, let's say it is acceptable. staff is very nice but we had a very bad experience with the manager. We saw a mouse eating on the dining table outside (we were on the first floor). We called the reception and they told us next day they would have sent someone to disinfect and clean. Next day, when we came home, we saw that nobody came cleaning because during the night it rained and outdoor chairs where still dirty. I called the manager and he told me that indeed they came for cleaning, when I told him I was sure nobody came he told me "did you stay home all day to proof that we did not come to clean"? I started screaming at the phone and send immediately someone, so they did. I was very disappointed as I am keen on hygiene, I don't want to be forced to share a table with a mouse. We felt the lack of a place to buy food in the structure. The upper pool is breathless. I would not recommend to spend so much money on a staying where hygienic conditions are not good, especially in this period. p.s. I asked for a compensation because I did't feel confident using the outside dining table anymore after what we experienced, the manager screamed at me.
Update after reply:
Dear Priscilla,
your reply is false and offensive. I never mentioned that I would have left a negative review, Indeed I waited one year to understand if it was the case or not to write one. I only did it to prevent your customers due to importance of Hygiene in this period. Also nobody came "immediately" to clean, someone was sent only after I talked with the manager (a rude an offensive person) for the second time in the late afternoon after the entire day.
Next time you reply to a bad review avoid giving false information, anyway pictures...
Read moreSimply wonderful time staying here.||The domaine is stunning and well maintained, with trees, maquis, rolling grass and rolling natural paths throughout. Our apartment at the top of the domaine had amazing views dropping over the Santa Giulia bay, and the entire feel was slow, peaceful and incredibly restful.||There are three pools scattered across the domaine, a couple nearer the top and one near the foot. All were fantastic. Two were deeper and more spacious which worked well for families and fun, and the one at the top was smaller but beautiful and looked out over the sea. One has a small bar by the pool which is perfect for a quiet end of day beer.||The apartment itself was in excellent condition. Spacious inside, good air conditioning, nice furniture - looked good, not super-high end but boutique. Worked really well for us.||Outdoor space was great as well. Loungers, dining table etc. Lovely to sit out under the stars having a drink and looking over the bay.||Kitchen was well stocked and easy to use (saw someone complaining that there wasn't enough stuff in there and maybe if you're hosting a five course dinner party you might struggle, but if you want to make family dinners, there's everything you need).||We also used the bread/ pastry service each morning which turned up on time and with good fresh pastries. Didn't try the buffet so don't know what that was like.||Lastly the staff were wonderful. Charming, helpful and relaxed.||Any downsides? A couple.||The wifi wasn't great, serviceable vs. strong. I know that isn't the be all and end all for sure, but equally if you've got wifi hungry kids it's worth knowing.||It bills itself as 3 - 5 mins from the beach. In reality, whilst some parts may be, from where we were it was more like 10 - 15 mins to the beach itself. Lovely walk down, but hilly on the way back up... fine for us, but worth knowing.||Otherwise, loved it and would all...
Read moreWe have just returned from 9 nights staying in a classic 2 bed apartment which slept 6. Luckily there was only 4 of us as the sofa in the lounge would not have been a good option to sleep on. The apartment was very spacious but very dated & basically. There was one tiny toilet separate to the bathroom which contained a bath & sink. There terrace was large & spacious but did not contain a modern bbq like some other rooms. In my opinion this room type really needs renovation there’s room to put an extra toilet & shower. The location is close to the pool. The pools could do with more sunbeds around the family pool and some umbrellas at the adult pool. The views were beautiful. We asked on a couple of occasions to get clean towels after they were sandy from the beach, we were told they didn’t have any. Very frustrating most places I’ve been have towels set up around the pool. Just buy more towels it’s not a big ask. The breakfast delivery service of pastries was nice. The complex is definitely missing a trick of not providing any food apart from crepes between 2-5pm! A pizza oven where they serve breakfast was be brilliant. There is absolutely no food available. No shop either. A car is a must. We visited bonifacio & porta vecchio which are definitely worth seeing. I guess for what I paid I expected a little more. It is the perfect place to chill & read as there’s not a...
