We arrived late on a rainy Friday night with reservations for the 4 of us. The place was completely full and we don't speak French, unfortunately. No problem there! The waitstaff was friendly and welcoming (this isn't nothing in France) and we were out seated and made to feel right at home. It's a small restaurant, and loud, in a "full of life" way. We sat by the service window so we could see all the unbelievably delicious looking food going out to tables and our own order was no exception. Despite how busy things were our waiter pulled up a chair and sat next to me at the table to go over the menu and chat a little in English - he demonstrated every quality of great service a restaurant could have. Ordering was prompt but we were never rushed, his suggestions were there when we wanted them, and by the end of the meal we didn't want to leave. I was impressed and delighted and I will always stop in whenever in Tolouse. Highly, highly...

I had the Magret de Canard (ordered au point) with Chardonnay and then Viognier, followed by Panna Cotta and paid 60€ for that. The first Magret was way overdone and hard as a shoe, so I had to send it back (first time in my life - yeah me?) The second Magret was fine, still chewy and more saignant than au point but fine. The Chardonnay was good (at 5€ per glass), but since it's such an ordinary grape, I felt like ordering the Viognier Petit Loup, which was, in fact, differently good. The Panna Cotta was excellent, maybe the best I had all my life (I had, like, four previously). My waiter was very busy but professional, a little reserved after I sent back the first dish, but relaxed again later. Sitting on the terrace is always nice, many people passing by, so it's not boring. Good atmosphere. All in all, if I had paid 30 instead of 60€, I would have...

We had lunch here while visiting Toulouse for the day. The location of the restaurant is convenient if you are exploring he river section of the city. They have menu boards with the daily menu items written in them but do not have printed menus (so, no English menus). The server tried her best to help translate and she really did do well; better than my french! The food is a mix if cuisines and they have a number of Asian style "Bowls" which were popular and delicious as my wife fried one. I had a chicken/bacon wrap that was also delicious with a very...

Les Galopins offered a very good and authentic Toulouse region meal. The food was high quality, flavorful and delightful. The service was great with the friendly restaurant team always ready to chat and joke. It is definitely not a formal place but rather a place to enjoy with friends to have a really enjoyable evening.
