Loved this place! Made a reservation for lunch (FYI they do take your credit card details to charge you $30 in case of a no-show — which is completely fine with me). The location is great, open air seating with a slight cover is great too, but most importantly the food was fantastic. I love tapas places because you get to try a lot of different things. We ordered 4 dishes and it turned out to be enough for 2 people. The highlight for me personally was beef gravlax (thin slices of salty smoked beef) with pistachios and wasabi ice cream! It was the first time I tried something like this and it was very good. My second favorite was the fried zucchini flower. I even liked their eggplant, although it did have some of the eastern spices which I am not usually a fan of. The burrata with tomatoes and strawberries was my least favorite dish — I feel like the strawberries were a bit overpowering and not a good match overall. I got cafe gourmand for dessert and got to taste different kinds of pastries + coffee + ice cream. Overall it was a very good experience. P.S. no...
Read moreThis restaurant boasts a picturesque location by the Garonne River, but unfortunately, our dining experience left much to be desired. The food came with a hefty price tag, offering limited portions without any exceptional flavors to justify the cost. However, what truly stands out about this establishment is the service, and not in a positive way. On a rainy night during our visit to Bazacle Turbine, we were left soaking wet as the staff paid little attention to our requests for cover or table relocation, despite our polite inquiries. This unfortunate disregard for other diners' comfort led to several clients leaving the restaurant mid-meal. To add to the disappointment, a mistake on the bill was met with resistance when we asked for a refund for an item we didn't order. Let’s not talk about the resterooms…In summary, while the location is undeniably beautiful, it's best suited for a casual drink. Just be sure to check the weather forecast before...
Read moreUpdate: We went now for a second time for lunch. While the place is really beautiful and the service was nice I was served a raw fish that should have been grilled. When i complained the waitress took the fish immediately to ask the kitchen to grill it properly and it was later (10+ minutes, my partner finished her dish in the meantime) served in an acceptable state.
However there was no excuse and I was charged the full price (65€ for the two dishes, a beer and a bottle of water) for this experience.
Mishaps can happen, but unfortunately really bad customer satisfaction management this time.
One positive aspect: In the front area where people take apéro a lot of people are smoking which is not the case in the back part of the restaurant so at least one can enjoy his dish (if it is...
