Nowadays, when you hear the words "café" or "salon de thé", it can give off either the classic French brasserie impression or the overly chic tea parlor with overpriced tea. La Lapin Vert is neither of those. It's an honest tea stop that sells quality tea, infusions, coffee grains, and some local goods and artisan accessories.

My partner and I were looking for somewhere to stop and have coffee before hitting the road again, and we discovered this while walking down the road. It was the best surprise, and honestly despite all the beautiful and memorable places and things we had at Tours, Le Lapin Vert is our favorite memory of the city. I bought some hojicha and an anti-bloating infusion for my dad, both of which we really love. You can sample the teas on their menu and if you like it, you can buy a sachet to bring home with you.

The courtyard is small and cozy. There's no obnoxious music, no trendy decor you'll find in an "Instagramable store" disguised as a tea shop. The place is decorated with taste and the star is undoubtedly the wide variety of tea and coffee.

I couldn't stop thinking about the shop and how wonderful the experience was, so I wanted to keep supporting them from afar. Know that you can order your teas by 100g sachets from them, you just have to contact them via the info on their website.
