Highly recommended. Had a wonderful family lunch with kids. It was over 40 degrees so we looked for cold drinks and some nice food. We sat outside in the shade. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Ice teas are served in tall glasses with ice. We had a crisp cote de Provence rose and chilled bottles with water. These were replaced with cold refills without asking. The food is excellent and high quality. Don’t be scared by the menu (French only). Try the Formule (starter/main combo) which is a day special (weekdays only). For kids there is also a lunch menu with tasty fries or pasta and a choice of beef or fried fish. Very affordable but great quality. We had a few great tasting fish dishes: a tuna/avocado salad with fries and a salmon/shrimp fish salad with fresh mini ciabattas. Fries can be ordered as side dishes as well. For desert try the crème brule. It’s a big one so be ready to share :) Overall it’s a classic chique French setting. A nice and roomy terrasse. Plenty of staff and they take good care of you. Even during a burning hit Tuesday in the middle...
Read moreStopped in for dessert and drinks after a bad dinner experience at another restaurant. It was weird at first, from the street side it looks run down and closed, you have to walk through half the restaurant (with no tables up) just to get to the bar area with waitstaff. We were seated inside which, not ideal but makes sense as we just wanted dessert and didn't have a booking. Found myself looking outside just wanting to be on the patio, which looked wonderful. Inside was eh, it was loud and sterile and not the most comfortable, I think their patio is really their shining feature. Service was good, I think a few of the servers had a bit of trouble understanding us (unfortunately we do not speak French, and do not expect them to speak English of course so there was a bit of a barrier) but we made do and they were very kind and friendly. The desserts and coffee were quite good, can't say they were anything outstanding but they hit the spot and were tasty. I'd recommend reserving and sitting on the patio and I think it'd be a very...
Read moreVery swish and is true to its name ie "Victor Hugo" being the Avenue its on and the name of the famous French writer. Good food, although my burger of the day looked a bit red inside and was a bit concerned it was undercooked, it was a delicious burger but not healthy being bathed in grease, lots of oil anyway, it was well presented a nice chips, sald. I'm glad we weren't eating inside the restaurant, because just in the walk to the lavatory it was very warm, no air-conditioning! We were undergoing a heat wave in France at the time June 2022! Some people say that it can cause the spread of germs, that's plausible. I don't think the resteraunt is short of money as it was bookings only outside and soon got full, and the place is big! Anyway it's worth a visit, decent standard, I'd need to try a different dish next time get a fair opinion. Yea but go there see...
