I was taking a look at the recent reviews before booking this restaurant and was skeptical given that a few people said the staff wasn't warm and the food was average. I never take the time to write reviews and I will say this, I had dinner there yesterday with my partner and being the massive foodie that I am I was extremely impressed. The girls who work there are so sweet and hardworking, they are two ladies running the restaurant and they smashed it! Serving every tables impeccably, making sure everyone was satisfied, the music selection was amazing, the restaurant was fully booked and the food felt like I was in Italy in the middle of summer. So so so good! One of them even spoke perfect english which made it so easy for us to choose our food because they do not have an english menu (which is probably the only thing I would recommending adding). We had tomato olive foccacia with the carpaccio for starters and truffle risotto for main and finished off with their famous French Toast Brioche. We still spoke about how good their food was with my partner this morning and could tell the ingredients and quality of the food was top notch! Thanks ladies for making our short trip to Versailles well worth it and we will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends when they're in the Parisian Area. The decoration is so cute. The prices are high for a town like Versailles but it's definitely justified by the service, hard work, warmth, jokes, ambiance and the incredible Chef who we took the time to congratulate. Honestly 10/10 - do make an English menu though, please! We'll...
Read moreI am gonna be fair, the taste is fine. With my family, we have been able to try most of the dishes they have on their menu, pizzas, pastas and appetizers. However, the biggest put-off for me was definitely the price: it’s ex-pen-sive… honestly not worth the price we paid for the whole dinner… we ordered a roasted camembert and the waitress suggested to order another appetizer on the menu, the focaccia as no bread would be provided with the camembert?! Are you being serious lol.. such a rip-off for something that should have automatically been provided with any camembert, roasted or not. Are you really thinking people would eat the camembert without any kind of bread? Practicing high prices is one thing, but scamming your customers into ordering more.. it just doesn’t feel right.. again, the food is good without being amazingly good, but maybe am I not objective given the poor customer experience I’ve got.. i hope they will change their pricing at some point and include FREE bread.. needless to say we didn’t order dessert, scared to pay up to 50€ per ppl for a pizza, with no wine or alcohol.. also found the restaurant not comfortable, small seats and tables, with wind constantly rushing in during winter, so not an enjoyable dinner overall. On top, the service is not friendly nor warm, just being...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Golosita. Not only was the truffle gnocchi the best gnocchi I've ever eaten (and I've eaten quite a bit of gnocchi), but it ranks as one of my favorite meals of ALL TIME. My daughter had the pizza topped with cheese and thinly sliced beef, which she said was one of the best pizza's she's ever had. The staff was lovely and the ambiance is cozy and romantic. We had an opportunity to talk with the owner who was very attentive and sweet. I wish we would have discovered this restaurant towards the beginning of our trip so we could have eaten here a few more times. Do not leave Versailles without...
