I have been coming here regularly for the past month or two, mostly out of convenience since it is close to my apartment. Last night, however, was a very different experience. The restaurant was preparing for the Georgia vs. Cyprus basketball game and had plenty of open tables when my friend and I arrived.
The hostess was not welcoming and asked us to wait before sitting, even though many tables were empty. We eventually seated ourselves, but the hostess never spoke to us again, and the staff ignored us completely. We were not greeted, nor were we given menus. The only reason we were served at all was because my friend knew one of the waitresses. She took our order, but I witnessed the hostess confront her afterward for doing so.
Although the restaurant was not busy and tables remained open throughout our visit, we were made to feel unwelcome. It was clear that we were treated this way simply because we are...
Read moreI very rarely eat khinkali. I am very scrupulous in this dish. And this was the case here, where I was happy to eat their branded khinkali with tarragon. It was very tasty. The way I loved it as a child, but with the added unique flavor of this tarragon. I note that I eat meat extremely rarely and do not like and do not eat pork meat at all. And the waiter assured that this branded khinkali of theirs is made only from beef meat. That's exactly why we ordered khinkali for me. They also have excellent unfiltered Belgian beer. They do good delicious dishes from mushrooms. Almost everything we tried was delicious. The staff is good. Prices have risen everywhere here, they are high. Especially for...

The bread we got with our soup was basically just salty lavash, and the chicken in the soup reminded us of rubber. In the end, we didn't even finish the food. The atmosphere, unfortunately, isn't as nice as it seems either (smells of cigars). So far, the worst place we ate in Georgia, our stomachs didn't approve it either, soon became uncomfortable. The prices are also high, you can eat cheaper and better in lots other places than here. There are much better places around, wouldn't recommend. Though of course this is just...
