I rarely give such harsh reviews - this one is about the services but you might have better luck than us! The food is nice - Elarji is probably the best I’ve seen so far. Other food is fairly normal in Georgian standard, but what we felt REALLY uncomfortable was the service. To be completely open, we did arrive with sport clothes and hiking boots (from Kazbegi), we were looking for a place for dinner as it was a bit late and haven’t realised this is supposed to be somewhat a posh place (friend mentioned the restaurant and we decide to give it a try & quite close by) - but to our defence the waiter could have just rejected us at the door (if the dress code was an issue) rather than letting us in but made it very clear he looked down us - trust me that was so obvious it was in the air. We felt so uncomfortable about it so left right away once the waiter dropped our receipt in front of us… (yes he did that) Not a place for me to go even when im on my fanciest clothes I would say - it is 2022 and don’t you think it’s a bit dated to judge someone by how they are dressed? and if you want to have the real low key Georgian hospitality experience, try to avoid this place...
Read moreTaking into account that this isn't your typical restaurant where you can have our dumplings served, you'd be amazed how delicious our Megrelian cuisine is.
Whenever you enter, there's a chaeffour awaiting you inside to take the coat off of you. When you take a seat in the spacious and comfortable chair and you look at the menu, you might think that the food is overpriced, but oh boy, you're wrong.
Even sth so non-Georgian like Mexican Roasted Potatoes are made with love and care, and you feel delighted.
As for Georgian food, the Mtsvadi here is an absolute delish along with Kebab. Not only that, but Megrelian specialties like Elarji are great.
This place may have a bit of the expensive feel to it, but honestly - you get your money's worth.
Not only this, there's also a lovely duo of musicians that provide the evening entertainment. And it's so fancy. Honestly, I love...
Read moreThis restaurant had an excellent cuisine as well as the best cucumber walnut salad I've had in the city so far. Full stop. The barbecue here is out of this world, as well as the kabobs. There was a lady singing to some pre-recorded music blasted on speakers in the restaurant that seemed to be a little bit loud, But maybe I was the only one that wasn't enjoying that ambience 😅. The service was top-notch, and they were able to accommodate our reservation when we had one less person show up. We had some of the best wine that we've also had while here, the bottle said 22 on it....
