New Asia — Restaurant in Tbilisi

Staff - Unfortunately I have to agree with a review about subpar staff service because more often than not it is true. I live nearby and have visited this place quite a few times, including to just order and take away my food. The staff is mostly indifferent at best, not really very helpful, sometimes appear laze and unwilling to suggest different options. I get it that maybe they don't like working there but it just influences the whole experience in the worst way and I don't find myself wanting to go back. Food - this is an interesting part because there are items on the menu that taste just terrible and there are othere items that are really delicious. I would suggest all kinds of vegetable mixes with soy sauce, chicken with bamboo and soy sauce, fried rice, and also some beef with veggies. I really love hot and spicy soups but all the soups at that establishment are really bad and taste wierd, almost like they are all made from the same stock. In short, just order some fried rice with bamboo chicken and veggies and call it a day. The environment is pleasant and quiet with Asian twists to it, but this service thing is quite a bit...

My recent delivery experience from New Asia Restaurant was a solid four-star affair. The convenience of having their delicious Asian cuisine delivered right to my doorstep was certainly a highlight.

I have no idea how this place has 4.3 stars. We arrived at 7:30 PM, and unbelievably, our first dish only came at 9:30 PM. Waiting two hours for food, especially when we ordered hot pot—one of the easiest dishes to prepare—is just ridiculous.

At first, they gave us a room, but after 30 minutes, a chef came out and told us the room was for six people, so we (a group of three) had to move outside. No "please" or "thank you," just a rude tone like we owed him something. We let it go because it was our last gathering meal, but the night only got worse. After moving outside, we waited another two hours, with no service at all. We asked about our food four times, yet nothing improved. The lack of professionalism and courtesy made the experience even worse. A restaurant should not only serve good food but also provide decent service, and this place failed miserably in both.

With such poor service, long waiting times, and rude staff, I can’t understand how this place is rated so highly. Definitely not...
