Best Friends? More like Worst Enemies...
If you're looking for an authentic sushi experience, keep walking. "Best Friends" might as well be renamed to "We Don’t Know What Sushi Is, But Here’s Some Grilled Paprika Anyway."
We ordered the sushi combination for two, which—brace yourselves—came with the gourmet addition of grilled paprika, cucumber, and leek (because nothing screams Japan like vegetables you'd find in a lackluster salad). We specifically asked for no surimi in the dish, which they nailed by serving us a plate of ingredients that had never even seen a fish. Forget the fact that sushi is traditionally made with, oh, I don’t know, actual seafood—we got the innovative "paprika roll" that I’m sure no one asked for. Who needs fresh fish when you can have grilled veggies masquerading as sushi?
To make matters worse, this culinary tragedy came with a price tag high enough to suggest we were dining at a Michelin-starred establishment. Spoiler alert: we weren’t. The whole place feels like someone Googled "how to open a sushi restaurant" and then promptly ignored all the results.
As for the service? Well, let's just say the atmosphere matched the food. The staff seemed to have taken a vow of silence—no smile, no warmth, just blank stares and the vibe of "why are you even here?" Charming.
If you’re looking for sushi, go anywhere else. In fact, I’d recommend you fly to Tokyo, where you’ll spend less money on the plane ticket and a decent sushi meal than you would wasting it at "Best Friends."
Trust me, this place has nothing to...
Read moreLoved their ambiance. They have a very pretty open place in their back. Their smoking zone is a bit on the corner, so the smoke does not bother. Moreover their stuffs were very nice and friendly.
have ordered quite a few items, some were brilliant, and some of them had average taste. For the starter we had, spinach salad: it was good, it has a peanut sauce dreesing, which was blended really nice with spinach.
Dim Sum: I loved this one. Highly recommend 🤌
pad thai noodles: did not like it that much. Taste was a little bland I will not recommend this particular dish.
Lost monk: This one was a platter of flavor. This dish has a good portion of proteinprawn, beef, chicken, and mashroom with lots of vegetables. But this one is a little spicy. As i love spicy, I highly recommend this one.
Best friend curry: This one was a wholesome dish. 3/4 types of fish, cooked in coconut milk. Swet and sloght tangy taste. Also, I recommend this one.
Except for the pad thai, i loved all other items, and i will, of course,...
Read moreWe ordered lemon chicken rice which has no lemon flavour at all, more like a Chinese Wok, and it’s Very oily. (Eatable) Pad Thai Worst pad Thai I have ever had …it’s really disappointed. Lots of soy beans are freshly without fried together with noodle and pieces of peanuts are aside which supposed to be crashed and sprinkled on it….the worst part is the noodle is way toooooo sweet, no other flavour at all only sweet !!! I almost feel I am sick while eating it or I’ll be sick from it …. I love pad Thai so whenever I visited Thailand I always ordered this dish or even in any Thailand restaurant in Europe, I always eat this, and didn’t have any bad experience yet but until today …… sorry to leave a bad comment but it really really very upset to have bad experiences especially paid money to have untasted food….
sushi Didn’t expect so much since it’s not authentic Japanese restaurant …
Conclusion is don’t recommend at all !!!!!!! Go to the corner eat Korean food or Chinese wok whatever will be better...
