Gambrinus — Restaurant in Bad Schandau

It was a poor dining experience. Food wasn’t bad, to be more exact pizza was bad, but other dishes were quite good. Service though… One of the worst I’ve seen in a while. I felt like a second class person as my German is quite bad, but I am a tourist ffs. I had an impression that the personnel was annoyed by our company, didn’t pay any attention, didn’t offer to get new drinks and no one bothered to take away my plate 30 minutes after I was done. Funny enough, there was no menu in English or Czech and when I tried to speak German they seemed even less polite in response, correcting my mistakes with a face of a school teacher that demanded a homework that you didn’t bring. If you traveling as an asian group and want to eat here, then I wouldnt recommend you this place. Because they treated you as second class citizen here. We asked if we could sit outside and they denied us, later on new guests arrived and they could sit outside. The reason they gave us is because it will rain outside. Eventhough the sun came out not so long after we sat down while ordering the food. We wanted to sit inside on the brighter side of the restaurant, they didnt want to let us sit there aswell. I ordered a burger with fries and my wife ordered steak (name was "bürgermeister" something). They overcooked both burger (patties and the buns), fries, and the steak. It is really hard to mess up a burger but I really did not enjoy it. If possible, do not visit the restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays. We had to wait 65 minutes for our food and we were not even informed that the food would come this late. It seems the kitchen really cannot handle the number of customers.
