A wonderful setting, but a couple of misses. Let’s start with the good things: Set in an old chapel on the grounds of a cemetery. Beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces. A limited menu, which is always a good thing. The Shakshuka was particularly good and the coffee was wonderful.

Now, an overview of our visit on April 14, 2024: They opened almost ten minutes late. No apology or urgency to seat the small crowd waiting outside on a chilly morning. We ordered a Croque Madame for our kid. The server at no point indicated that it would come slathered in mustard. When the sandwich arrived, it felt that the cook was overly-generous with the mustard, which overwhelmed everything else in what could have been a perfectly good sandwich. The sandwich was definitely not suitable for a child - or for most adults. In hindsight, we should have returned it to the kitchen, but I love mustard and worked through it. While paying the bill, I simply asked the server if it was normal to have so much mustard in the Croque Madame and the answer was basically a shrug and an “I don’t know.”

Here’s my feedback: Service could be more attentive. A good server would have known that the Croque Madame had mustard and may not be suitable for a child. A good server would have recommended an alternative, such as leaving out the mustard (which, by the way, isn’t listed on the menu). And, finally, a good server wouldn’t been as dismissive when being asked a question as ours was.

Perhaps we visited on a bad day. But for the prices being charged, service should be consistent regardless. As far as first (and likely last) impressions go, 21 gramm missed more...

Extremely disappointing experience. The service at this place was honestly unacceptable. The staff were incredibly unfriendly—hostile even—and completely inattentive. We tried to get their attention multiple times but were ignored.

We ordered two simple meals: two fried eggs, two slices of sourdough (one gluten-free), and one order included salmon. What we received was a single plate with four eggs and two slices of gluten-free bread—nothing close to what we ordered. It took nearly an hour for that food to arrive, which is absurd for such basic items. If you’re aware of the food taking some time atleast warn your customers about this it’s simple courtesy.

When we were finally ready to leave, we had to wait again just to get the bill. Instead of showing us what we were paying for, they handed us the card machine without any explanation. We had to specifically ask to see a breakdown of the charges, the waiter insisted that we pay first before seeing the receipt which is ridiculous and made it seem that we were in the wrong for asking for the receipt. Providing a receipt to the customer should be standard practice.

Overall, the food was below average but the experience was genuinely horrible . I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based on the...

Thank you for screwing up my wedding brunch.

I had the most horrible experience of my life, feeling ashamed in front of my guest.

We booked breakfast for a group of 11 people, came in person, called multiple times, staff on the phone insisted that we order some platters in advance. The idea of having starter for breakfast seemed absurd but it was insisted, to minimize waiting for dishes from the menu.

Plates did not come for ages, and whatever arrived was a joke. On the phone we were told we would get scrambled eggs, poached eggs and ham. Well, 1 poached egg was there and some cold leftovers. COLD leftovers. Bread was hard and stale, many guests were complaining about it. Waiter did not even take our food orders until more than hour later since we arrived.

When main course arrived, almost nobody finished it, leaving half and more of the dish, which is exactly what is expected - you don't eat starter for breakfast - when food arrived, nobody bad appetite.

Waiters did not even come over to check and ask if we need anything, or take drink orders.

We came cheerful, planning to down one mimosa after another. I left hiding my tears.

Seriously, there must be a place in hell for people who screw up other...

The food and the service was amazing!! Such friendly staff , quick service and they made me feel so welcome;such a charming cozy place. Honestly, I know it’s a bit pricey , I walked in a bit unsure about the prices … But was I proven wrong and I will go back. Firstly thank you for finally seasoning food properly and putting fresh amazing tasty ingredients. Berlin lacks good food. I won’t even go into how bad brunch places are. The size of the portions were so impressive - truly ! Wow ! Two people can share it , if you would like to try a few different things! It’s more then worth the price ! Size didn’t make it inedible, I’ve had tomato hummus sourdough bread - just marvelous ! Bread came out crunchy, delicious ,loaded with amazing food -truly great combination of flavors ! Bread better then the one in Petrus , London! As well excellent Americano! Def recommend ! :)
