What an eclectic hidden gem! Located just off Hermannplatz, you dive into the “old world” at this Eckkneipe (corner pub) turned Turkish restaurant. The owner and his wife are so sweet and will gladly tour you around and tell you the history.

They offer catering for private parties in their large dining room that can be closed off from the other areas with a gorgeous stained glass door, buffet breakfast, as some fun Turkish and Greek wines. In the spring and summer they also have a lovely outdoor terrace!

Just know: This isn’t your spot if you want a quick meal - you come here to linger and chat and enjoy some hours. But it is worth it for the atmosphere and the delicious food! We came as a large group and ordered an appetizer for the table, entrees and drinks and only paid 25/30€ per person.

A hidden gem near Hermannplatz. This place has a truly special atmosphere. Warm, welcoming, and full of charm. The service was incredibly kind, making us feel right at home. It’s not a spot for those in a rush, but perfect for a slow, enjoyable evening with friends.

Ein Besuch im ALTE WELT ist wie eine Reise in eine andere Welt – ein absoluter Geheimtipp! Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants fühlt man sich, als würde die Zeit stehen bleiben. Die liebevoll gestaltete Einrichtung versprüht einen nostalgischen Charme, der einen sofort in eine vergangene Epoche versetzt. Jedes Detail, von den antiken Möbeln bis hin zu den kunstvollen Dekorationen, erzählt eine eigene Geschichte.

Die Umgebung strahlte Ruhe und Gemütlichkeit aus, als wir an einem Sonntag gegen 15:00 Uhr zum Essen kamen, sodass man die Hektik des Alltags schnell vergisst. Es ist, als ob die Welt draußen für einen Moment pausiert, während man in diesem kleinen Paradies verweilt.

Und dann das Essen – ein absolutes Highlight! Die Speisen werden mit größter Sorgfalt zubereitet und sind ein wahres Fest für die Sinne. Jeder Bissen ist eine Geschmacksexplosion, die zeigt, dass hier mit Leidenschaft und Können gekocht wird. Das mich absolut begeistert hat.

Das gesamte Erlebnis wird von einem aufmerksamen und herzlichen Service abgerundet, der den Aufenthalt perfekt macht.
