Anhalt — Restaurant in Berlin

Visited the Technik museum and then went to the cafe (from the inside of the museum). Ordered an apple pie and vegetarian Pfannkuchen. The cafe was full and the service was average (at the order desk the lady was a little impolite), however a waiter called our number and came to our table with the Pfannkuchen which was appreciated. It was delicious, fresh and refreshing. Definitely something I’d like to have again.

The apple pie was also delicious with fresh apples and in large amounts.

The only disturbing thing was the children in the cafe who were so noisy and made the experience unpleasant (not the cafe’s fault though). Definitely visit when...

Nice place with friendly waiters, quick service, good prices. We ordered from the daily menu at 2:30 PM and it was really quick, hearty and they served us a big portion. Quality food, really tasty. Der Innenraum ist gemütlich und rustikal. Das Konzept ist Selbstbedienung, das heißt, man bestellt im Foyer des Museums. Die Getränke erhält man sofort, das Essen wird „an den Tisch gebracht“. Man bekommt eine Nummer und gibt an, ob man drinnen oder draußen sitzt. Irgendwann kommt dann jemand und ruft laut eine Nummer. Man hebt die Hand, wenn es die eigene Bestellung ist.

Die Menüauswahl ist übersichtlich, von Flammkuchen bis Currywurst, dazu diverse Getränke und Kuchen. Warum ich bei Kartenzahlung fast gedrängt werde, Trinkgeld zu geben, verstehe ich bei diesem Selbstbedienungskonzept nicht so ganz, zumal man auch das Geschirr selbst abräumen und zurückbringen muss. Auch die typische Berliner Freundlichkeit trägt nicht dazu bei.
