INDIAN STORE (groceries & more) — Local services in Berlin

Stay away from this online store. They have a quite advanced method of stealing from the products. They cut the bag of spices, they steal part of it and they try to cover the cut with transparent film tape!!! And then they ship the spices bags hoping that the clients will not observe the transparent film tape and the missing quantity. :( This my experience with india-store.de : I was placing an order to India Store, order no. 100206 from 05/03/2022 02:43:13. The items are different bags of spices. I received all the bags, looked at them quick and I thought they are in good order. I placed them in the storage room until first use. In few weeks I wanted to use the TRS Black Pepper Whole, Content: 400 g and, at a closer look, I noticed that the bag was cut and then taped with transparent adhesive tape. I measured the quantity and there were 280 g of pepper seeds instead of 400 g. In other words, I received a cut bag of pepper seeds and a third of quantity was stolen. As soon as I noticed the problem I sent an email to the store, but they claimed claimed it was too late (it was a month). The truth is that I could not notice this theft made professionally to be unobserved (they used transparent adhesive tape and they stolen just a part of the quantity, hoping that nobody will notice).

My question to them is are they more interested in how quick I observed the damage / missing products or they are interested that one of your clients received a black pepper bag that was cut, a third of the quantity stolen and then taped with transparent tape? This is not concerning them? The missing part is 1.497 Euro. This is my loss. They think that I am spending my time for about 1.5 Euro? No, I am making a complain as a principle of honor. They should stop doing this and you should check if their employees are not stealing products parts in this way. And I am not sure if the product was not becoming dirty or somehow affected during...

Very bad service. In fact: worst service EVER. Never go there. To my regret I never received a parcel worth 36,76 EUR. I got the message that I could collect it at a parcel pick up point by 12 february but the parcel was never there. DHL-Netherland answered it had had "a faulty scan" and had been returned to India-Store directly, that I should contact India-Store and ask them to start an investigation at DHL. To this day India Store has not made any attempt of filing a complaint to DHL. Even worse: they suggested that I should pay for the costs of the return. I sent about 20 mails (sic) which India Store would again and again answer with the wrong assumption that I had NOT gone to the pick up point on time (though I did provide them with a copy of an email from DHL). Maddening. 36,76 EUR and too much wasted time that I will never get back. Update after your answer: As you can read above, the return was long ago already in your possession and I have told you (20 times!) that I did go to the pick up point on time, but that DHL said the package was never there because of "a faulty scan", and that YOU had to ask DHL for an investigation, which you never did. Instead of starting the investigation at DHL, you kept telling me I was wrong for not going to the pick up point. I am still waiting...

I was there to buy Henna for my girlfriend and I did not like my experience at all.

Preface: I come from the same subcontinent and share similar looks. I understand hindi but cannot speak hindi so I was speaking english from get go.

So the person in the store had this "why are you even here" kind of look face to begin with. I was looking around and was kind of elated with the variety of things that was on display. None of them had price labelled so I was asked him where can i find the price?

his response was "what do you want?" in bothered manner. As if i was bothering him by coming to buy there. I pointed my option out and thought it was a bit expensive. I asked him why the prices were not labelled, he replied "We sell things online, we have price there." He was very unwelcoming with all the response he gave as if I was there to steal things or something. Later two european women entered and immediately his expression and the tone he spoke changed to cheerful and friendly with big smile. I was really amazed to see that. I am never going back there and by the way I was received, I would not recommend fellow people from our indian subcontinent...
