I visited this restaurant yesterday with some friends, and at first, everything seemed great. The only thing that made us feel slightly uncomfortable was when the waiter rather rudely told us that we had only seven minutes to place our order. At the time, we didn’t pay much attention to it.
The food was genuinely delicious. However, the restaurant closes at 11 p.m., and by 10:50 p.m. the staff started to get visibly anxious and began practically kicking us out. They took away our drinks - almost snatching them from our hands - and waved at us to leave. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional.
I have never experienced such terrible service anywhere in Berlin (or maybe anywhere in the world). So despite the good food, I would give the service a minus one if that...

My wife shares the same food love….however, our kids are kinda special in regard to food. But….a capital BUT…they were big fans of it. They ate chicken saté, Rice with fried chicken and even tried the served sauces. The plates were as good as empty at the end. We left with full bellies and the kids were happy, too. Ben Thanh was my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Charlottenburg and I was just recently remembering them actually. And now I found out they opened up a second restaurant right here in Friedrichshain!
And the food is in fact the same as on the other side of town. Specifically the vegetable soup, it's the best soup ever and I usually don't even like clear soup.
