We visited this place twice. On the first evening, we stopped by for some drinks. The staff were kind and attentive, and while we were there, we noticed the food being served to other tables. It looked appealing, so we decided to come back the next day to try it.
The next day, we returned for a meal. When we arrived, we asked if we could sit in the shade, but were told no because only tables for four were available, which we understood. However, even though we had spoken English with the same staff member, we were given menus in German. Since we do not speak German, we had to wait about ten minutes before we could ask someone for English menus.
About thirty minutes later, they eventually extended the sunshade so we could sit in the shade anyway, despite being only two people. It was a sunny day, around 25°C, so it would have been appreciated earlier.
What really stood out, though, was the staff’s tone and attitude that day. They came across as quite unfriendly, and we got the feeling that we were not welcome and that they were not happy to have us there as tourists.
As for the food, it was fine for the price. The schnitzel could have come with more fries, which were probably the best part of the dishes we ordered.
Overall, we would not return. It felt like tourists were not particularly welcome, and even basic information, such as signs in the restrooms, was only in German, which reinforced...

The food was nothing spectacular, the roasted potatoes side was made from festkochend kartoffeln, so was no really edible in that form, the salad side a sloppy mess with some snot for a dressing. The schnietzel was ok - edible but nothing spectacular.
However, while taking care of the bill, it was surprising. First of all they don’t take card payments, which for a telatively upscale menu prices is unusual and inconvenient, but ok, whatever. What was unpleasant is that on 30 euro and a few cents’ bill, i laid out 35 in cash cash. The waiter took those without as much as a thank you, never came back.
Now, tipping 15-20% is very unusual in Berlin culture in general, and given that the order was sent back with 2/3 or the plate content, nothing warranted a generous tip, so Im quite confused. Not that these 4 euros are a huge deal, but enough to...
