Beumer & Lutum — Restaurant in Berlin

The bagels here are just Brötchen with an accidental hole without any hint of the chewiness you can get from any 'standard' bagel. I wonder if they were even boiled at all before getting sent to the oven?

The plums on the Pflaumentorte are refreshing enough but the torte part tastes kind of floury without much butter note. It should be appealing to the health-conscious crowds who would pick '30% less sugar & fat' for any food products, but probably not to the people with a bit of sweet tooth who just want to little treat to...

I really want to love this place but I am so TIRED of the staff with their bad moods for reasons that have nothing to do with me.

I always say good morning - in German. I politely ask for my order and still the bad attitude I receive has made me finally decide to stop buying bread from this place.

Peinlich. Heute 1. Mai 2021, 11:45 Uhr. Weil es komplett keine Brötchen gab, fragte ich, ob das was da war, von heute wäre. Ich finde diese Frage an einem Feiertag sehr berechtigt 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sagte eine Verkäuferin: ja. Die daneben verdrehte ihre Augen und flüsterte ihr zu "wir haben ja eben erst eröffnet". Ich sagte ihr ich habe das schon verstanden und verabschiedete mich, ohne etwas zu kaufen.

Ihr maßt euch an sarkastische Kommentare gegenüber einer Kundin (mir) zu machen und damit zu verurteilen mittags etwas zu kaufen und nicht morgens? Dann öffnet vielleicht einfach nur 6-9 Uhr.

Ich sag mal so auf gleichem Niveau und Freundlichkeit zu "wir haben eben erst geöffnet": "ich bin eben erst hierher gezogen". Nicht.

Ich bin gebürtige Berlinerin und wohne hier im Kiez. Kleines Rätsel: habe ich es nötig, bei dieser Dichte an Biobäckereien hier in dieser Ecke, in Prenzlberg, nochmal...
