This is a small and unique place. Besides the remaining charm of east Berlin, the neighbourhood atmosphere and rustic interior, the small menu offers delicious healthy food! I have found that the in-house baked croissants are by far the best I have eaten in Berlin and have addiction potential. The fresh juices are yummy and are reasonably priced as is the food. Not to forget the very good coffe! You will find that whatever it is you order, everything is prepared with care and love. People working there make you feel welcome and are warm hearted. You can tell they enjoy their work. It's a self service place so don't forget to go and pick up your order! Laid-back atmosphere and quick service when not busy, which it can get at times.
Features: Outdoor seating (smoking permitted and if you get there at the right time you can sit in the sun), free tab water, toilet, good music, happy vibes, good deli food /exceptional croissants, street cafe, dog friendly, Tram M4 Hufelandstrasse ca. 400m, small unique cafe, no cards accepted.

Read moreToday I went as usual to this nice place but I won’t be coming anymore. After queueing I ordered an espresso macchiato and a pastel de nata (there was only one left) and I took a seat waiting for my order. The staff member came to me after a while bringing me the espresso macchiato and told me that the pastel de nata was soldout. As I could see the last pastel de nata was being sold to the customer queueing after me at the cassa. I told to her that the customer that was buying it was after me. She then went back, talked to the manager and came back to me telling that it was not possible and they could make another one but I had to wait 20-25 minutes. I could have faced the customer after me but it is not my responsibility as I was not accountable for that. I felt treated as an inferior customer compared to the one that ordered after me and got what I was supposed to get. Disappointed I then did not have my coffee and left. Since this behavior was direspectful, this will be the last time for me going to this place. I hope that this feedback will bring...
Read moreEvery table outside had ashtrays so it was full of filthy smokers outside, cigarette butts on the pavement everywhere, so we went inside but the large windows were open so all the smoke drifted inside so it was the same as smoking! The coffee and pastries were nice but it was ruined by smokers as usual. Seems Berlin is full of smokers, I see big billboards in the street advertising smoking as a great lifestyle. I see "healthy" smokers outside Bio shops having a nice healthy fresh juice or vegan lunch along with a smoke too, ashtrays stink so much it makes me vomit. Europe is 30 yrs behind my home in NZ where we are tough on smokers and it is the norm to be...
