UPDATE: Today we had a special Anlass to have lunch with friends, and we were in the mood for Indian food. Since Iâve almost always had good experiences at this restaurant, I decided to give it another try â and Iâm really glad I did!
We all really enjoyed the food â everything was delicious and fresh. This time, I made sure to clearly say the number of the dish I wanted, and we got exactly what we ordered. Everyone at the table was happy with both the quality and the taste of their meals.
As a nice bonus, we also received the 25% discount that had been promised in the ownerâs reply, which was a great gesture and very much appreciated.
All in all, Iâm very happy that everything went smoothly this time. We had a great lunch, and Iâll definitely be coming back!
I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. The owner is a very nice woman, and the food has always been great.
Except for today. I placed a takeaway order over the phone for Butter Chicken and Bhuna Murgh. When I arrived to pick up the food, it was almost ready, and I needed to pay. Thatâs when I noticed that I had been charged for Bhuna Gosh (which is lamb). I told the waiter that I had clearly ordered Bhuna MurghâI even had a screenshot in front of me when I placed the order and read it very carefully. Murgh and Gosh are completely different words and donât sound the same at all.
However, the guy who took my order insisted that I had ordered the lamb dish. There is actually a price difference, and I had the feeling that he âdidnâtâ understand on purpose because of thatâwhich is really disappointing.
When I tried the food at home, it was just awful. I couldnât eat the meat and ended up paying âŹ20 for rice and sauce.
Itâs really sad that: The staff at the restaurant tries to make extra money this way, and he didnât even offer to change the dish. I will...
Read moreI went there on a sunday evening with a booking and really felt well at yhe start and the owner/chef greeted us and she also done small talk with us which i found good but the problem started after that. She recommended us to have vada pav told its the best on town and told that its servesd with fried chillies. The vada pav was not actually a vada pav because it was filled with the aloo sabji directly and not the actually vada and we even did not got the chillies. Also we ordered Aloo chat in which the curd was too thin. It looked like they mixed water in it and the same was with the Lassi.
Then the owner came again to have a chit chat and we were with friends and in between a conversation. This time it was annoying. This time she asked me to cancel the reservation on Quandoo because it costs them 3⏠per person. If these services are so costly then they as a restaurant owner should not use that on first place.
Also the main course was not that good according to the prices. Dal makhni and Kadai Pabeer we ordered had a bit sweet taste even though we ordered a spicy version. The naan was too thick.
Overall experience was okish/bad. Maybe this happened with me only but every customer matters.
PS: We specifically ordered Vadapav because it was insisted by the owner. Also there was no misunderstanding about the booking cancellations. We were asked to cancel it clearly in order to save 15âŹ. So all maybe and misunderstanding in reponse in...

I recently dined at Bollywood Tadka, an Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of Berlin, and the experience left me with a symphony of flavors to savor.
From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance transported me to the vibrant streets of Mumbai. The warm colors, intricate decor, and soft Bollywood tunes set the stage for an immersive dining experience.
The menu offered a diverse selection of Indian dishes, and the culinary journey began with the appetizers. The samosas were a crispy delight, filled with a perfectly spiced potato mixture that danced on my taste buds.
For the main course, I opted for the Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a revelation â tender chicken bathing in a rich, creamy tomato-based sauce that had just the right balance of spices. The Garlic Naan, freshly baked and generously brushed with garlic butter, complemented the curry perfectly.
The attentive staff added to the positive experience, providing recommendations and ensuring a seamless dining process. The portions were satisfying, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the dishes served.
To conclude, Bollywood Tadka is a gem for those seeking authentic Indian flavors in Berlin. Whether you're a seasoned curry connoisseur or new to Indian cuisine, this restaurant promises a delightful culinary journey that will leave you planning...
