Ah what a beautiful morning trip this was. We were wandering around the neighborhood looking for a nice place for a breakfast and stumbled upon this crown jewel of a business. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and you start to feel more like a distant relative than a passer-by. Highest of praise for this. Interior is a fun mixture, maybe a bit run down but the sparks of your Grandma's old kitchen and a bakery is just charming. Regarding the food: We had the "Gemischtes Frühstück" and the "Rührei", and as the chef suggested with cheese and tomatoes and it was just pure brilliant. The rolls are perfectly selected to work with a nice assortment and cheese, a small salad with fresh fruit! I am at the moment still sitting in the cafe and have been eyeballing the assortment of cake and pastry on display and will make sure to take some of it home to indulge once more in the afternoon. So all in all strong recommendation and thank you - this has been a treat and we surely will be back!

Das süßeste Café. Müsste "Perle" heißen. Ich möchte noch erklären, warum es mir hier so gut gefällt. Es ist nicht nur die Ausstattung und Anmutung, sondern auch die Lage. Unweit ist die Feuerbachbrücke, von wo aus man zur Schloßstraße kommt, die größte Einkaufsstraße Steglitz'. Aber zu dort ist hier gerade kein Einzugsgebiet mehr. Hier ist kein Ausgeh- oder Einkaufsviertel, sondern Wohngegend. Man sitzt hier deswegen so schön ruhig und verträumt. Anwohner laufen vorbei - Familien, Ältere, Gassigeher. Einfach entspannt, dennoch nicht langweilig. Naja, und liebevolle Kleinigkeiten wie diese kleinen Blumenkästen auf weiß gestrichenen Pallettenzäunen sind ein Knaller :)

Been there for a meetup and honestly great cakes and great espresso. The owner is a very nice fellow (that also speaks Italian) and is also very open for a conversation. Totally recommend...
