#neukölln is more and more gentrified, but it's still exciting and there are still things to discover.

Today I had one of the most exciting trouvailles since quite a long time by coincidence .

I was meeting a friend and the café where we wanted to meet was closed.

So we went looking for another location and I recalled a cafe, which I das past a few times, but which was always closed.

It's called @tampermeetsjigger

This place is awesome! Not your everyday Neukölln Cafe with worn out second hand interior, but a stylish urban bar with great drinks and special coffee specialities.

The owner Raymond is passionate about his venue and about mixing signature cocktails.

He has won serveral prizes with his cocktails and he's an expert who gained experience in the awesome bar of the @ritzcarlton in Berlin.

He also serves a great cold brewed coffee and other drinks in a special, stylish and elegant way.

Our glasses were frozen and our drinking straws were made of glass.

When he showed us the interior, I was pleasantly surprised by all the love for detail.

I'm really glad, that this guy decided to choose a location just around the corner from where I live 😊

Great for an after-work drink and a good...

Ordered 2 of the specials, waited 20 minutes for the 2 takeaway sandwiches. When they came out we realised they weren’t what we ordered. I informed the 2 young women working on the floor and they then informed us the special was sold out. After consulting the kitchen they offered us other options which didn’t meet our dietary requirements and we asked for a refund instead. One of the women then approached the barista we ordered from and he said we had ordered the wrong thing to begin with (which we didn’t) possibly this was a miscommunication but the manner in which the barista and the waitress were speaking was highly unprofessional. The barista kept denying he had made a mistake and they had a long conversation about how we had paid with card and how they were going to perform a refund. I eventually asked “can I have the money for the sandwiches back in cash?” To which the waitress rudely replied “calm down”. I informed her I had work and was in a rush and she became even more unprofessional. Really...

The food at café Augusta was enjoyable, we had the eggs bennedict and the french toast and it was very nice. However, the service and overall experience was definitely underwhelming. Even though we made a reservation we were told "We're quite full at the moment" and were sent to a courtyard in the back, where no one came to us for the next 15 minutes. Then we ended up being moved inside, right next to the bar where we hoped the service would be faster, but we ended up waiting over 45 minutes for our food, and 1 hour for our drinks. Further, they are making a lot of fresh juices with an extremely loud machine, which makes it hard to enjoy and talk over the noise.

Overall good food, but wouldn't recommend for...

My 3rd week in Berlin, and after having gone to a multitude of coffee houses, this is the first time that I have been served a “flat white” (coffee drink consisting of espresso with microfoam - steamed milk with small, fine bubbles and a glossy or velvety consistency. It is comparable to a latte, but smaller in volume and with less microfoam, therefore having a higher proportion of coffee to milk, and milk that is more velvety in consistency – allowing the espresso to dominate the flavour, while being supported by the milk) and a granola joghurt worth coming back for! Highly, highly recommended. Staff and vibe are awesome too!

Good dishes at reasonable prices but with prolonged service. This is a decent place for brunching. The menu is small, but it includes all the classics we expect today for brunches, such as French toast, Benedict eggs, avocado toast, shakshuka, and the like. The prices are not high, and the portions are generous. The only problem is the service, it is prolonged, and although they have four persons on the counter, everyone seems overwhelmed. As a result, you need to plan for 90min - 2 hours, if you come here. Not a place for a quick bite, for sure!

Happy to have stumbled across this beautiful café/cocktail bar/brunch spot. The staff was super on it, the food was delicious and the cocktails are tailored to your desires with two hands full of classics and some specials on the menue. Gluten free bread options also available. I had the shakshuka and it was properly spicy and tasted amazing. Also the avocado on toast is decently sized and comes with a fresh side salad. Can totally recommend for morning coffee, lunch, brunch evening cocktails. Basically every time of the day.
