Café Eckstern — Restaurant in Berlin

Owner of cafe is great polite aged man, coffee is nice and all.

BUT If you'll see that he is with his assistant or assistant is working alone you may prepare for weird treatment. That assistant hates dogs for some reason and acts very arrogant.

My wife was client for the cafe for several months since we are living nearby. After several incidents we do not enter this place anymore. Always side eyes from that assistant, weird behaviour (giving coffee cup without lid, as they "suddenly" ran out of lids in 10 in the morning and other circus situations).

Last time my wife came there with our dog and asked for a water for the dog. After being ignored for several minutes with that request, she asked assitant again if she can get a bowl with water with a dog, because it is +30 outside. Assistant moved bowl with a leg (did not even touched it or brought it) and said that she need to go to toilet and fill that bowl with water herself if she wants bowl with a water for her dog.

What kind of service is that?...

IF YOU WANT TO BE IN A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT OR WORK IN PEACE JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

The barista (probably the owner/ the old guy) was very rude. While he is serving my coffee to the table, he told me way that i NEED TO LEAVE 1 hour later because i was working with my laptop! There was no sign and he didn’t let me know while ordering. Moreover his approach was very unfriendly. Then while taking the empty cups, he behaved so disturbingly and loudly that it was obvious he wants me to leave. In the end he asked me to pay in cash although they accept the card payments. Definitely the worst experience. It’s a pitty that the cafe is on the corner of my street but i will NEVER EVER go back that...

Sunday at 5pm. I liked the place at the first sight but when i was ordering, the boss showed a rather disappointing face and not too nice attitude as i ordered a cake without drink. And, when i was asking, what is the wifi password, he just told be coldly that there is no wifi over the weekend. I just want wifi to send over some pictures, not to work. and this boss shows rather warm and happy attitude towards the customer sits next to me as he ordered a bagel, a tea and a cookie. Well i understand profit is important and what i need to today really just a piece of cake not coffee and tea, i see how the boss behave is super profit driven and i am not interested to be a regular guest here after this...
