I recently had the pleasure of dining at Spaghetteria Loretta in Berlin, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. Small authentic Italian eatery with indoor and outdoor seating. Daily specials and regular menu. Pizza was amazing, our hostess was kind and helpful and spoke English. Located on upper Prenzlauer Allee across from Gesundheitcentrun. I have also had a shrimp, basil, and pasta dish that was excellent. As an American I did not like the shrimp shells, heads, legs, and antennas in the dish as I had to pick it out of the dish by hand. This is traditional style and way food is served typically. Also, a beer and wine selection is on menu and while waiting for your main course you will be treated to fresh bruscetta on fresh warm bread. Lovely place deserves all the customers it can get. This is not really an Italian restaurant it’s more of a German-Italian spot. I guess that should be expected when in Germany, just don’t go in with expectations of an amazing authentic Italian restaurant. The interior is bland and sort of in need of a clean up/repairs unless you like a rundown look. The food is very mid, nothing special to write home about.
