This coffeeshop has serious issue with people working with laptops. I ordered food and drink on a Monday midday for lunch and has to work for a short period of time while waiting for an appointment. I originally planned to meet my professor there, but unfortunately the staff chased me out over four times.
After he chased and shouted at me to leave over three time, I walked to him and was literally begging to him in very calm and softly, saying I do need a space to wait and my phone run out of power which will lead me out of contact with my appointment.
I guess first he tried to be nice and charged my phone and only allow me to work with my laptop at a corner away from the window. But after over half hour, he started to behave super aggressive making super loud noises by hitting on kitchen very heavily, then he brought my phone back and asked me to leave again.
I donât know what is their problem, it is a Monday afternoon, completely empty inside between 1-3pm, if this is packed, I understand they donât want people stay and work/occupy the space for longer time, but it is literally completely empty (as image showed). I am not using their internet, Iâm not disturbing anyone. But they shouted to me very loud and rude four times. I feel I was assaulted and should have called the police.
This is very intimidating even after living in Berlin for a while, still feel this city is not safe when thing happens like this in a coffeeshop like this place. Because of such behavior makes you wondering why they even...
Read moreI used to enjoy their food and coffee for a couple months, but today was my last visit. They have a âno laptopsâ policy, which I understand and never take my laptop to work or study there. Itâs not a coworking space, so I should not take up the table to do work. Iâve been coming to have a coffee and read a few times a week and never had problems - I thought thatâs logical cus Iâm not working on a laptop, therefore not breaking their rule. But today the worker told me to put my iPad down in a not so nice way. I asked why since this wasnât a laptop and I was only reading. I was also completely alone at the place and was sitting outside. I would spend 30 minutes there, have a drink that I paid for, not disturb anyone and enjoy my afternoon. But I was told âI am not allowed to do that hereâ and given no explanation as to why. Had she asked me to put it down in a polite way - I would not mind it, not so hard to through in a âpleaseâ and âthank youâ. But she was borderline rude about it and left me feeling very uncomfortable. So I left and went to a nearby place where they donât scare off their customers when they just read a book on their iPad:) Itâs a pity I wonât go there anymore - their cakes were really nice! Maybe some day the staff will read into many upset reviews of people getting yelled at for no reason, and become more...
Read moreThe place is fine, a bit expensive and I suspect the food is generally reheated, but works. The real issue is with one of the stuff members (she said she's the manager, I really hope she's not). The tall, blond lady is extremely aggressive and frankly racist. I am telling racist because I am not speaking good German, so I generally order in English. She never answers me back in English, although she knows the language. I am going very often, almost daily with my baby there. Whenever she's there she's treating me really condescending, asking impolitely what I want to order or throwing the order in the table. Today I was talking at the phone because as I said I have a small kid and I can run errands or fix appointments only when I am outside. She aggressively asked me if I am talking to the phone or with her. Btw, I was not the next in line, so there was someone else before me, ordering. I want also to mention that I live really close by and I go regularly. I offer tips almost everytime. I am nice and kind with them even in the worst days. I understand frustration and bad days, but this lady is behaving aggressive and arrogant since...
