café gentil — Restaurant in Berlin

The coffee is nice, but then me and my gf wanted to try some madeleines, I was looking at the fridge in the counter where they were displayed so I thought they were fresh, but when I asked the guy for a couple of plain madeleines i see him reaching for a plastic bag under the counter, taking out 2 madeleines each in a single plastic wrapping and placing them on a tray, asking me to pay 4€. These are the same madeleines I buy at rewe, a pack of 15 costs 2.15€, so how the price of 4€ for 2 is acceptable? You guys can do better, or at least be smart and take the products out of the plastic in...

A new coffee in the Heinrich-Roller-Strasse (Winkiez)/Prenzlauer Berg. The Gentil Café looks like a small coffee, but it is actually very spacious with 4 differen rooms, one with a large table for sharing with like minded, they were several people working calmly ... a large room with a Workspace feeling and two rooms for people meeting and dating. The deco is tasty, colorful and the owner is really really nice. Food is excellent and I hope that this summer, they ll have more...

Cafe Gentil is amazing, so glad it's in the neighborhood! From the chic decor to the well-brewed coffee and delicious french pastries, it's a treat for the eyes, belly and soul. everyone that works there is also super kind, and it's a great place to stop by with a friend or a book (or even a laptop, although the interiors really make you want to do cozy things instead of emails). would highly recommend...
