I used to live in this area and had come only here once. For me it was one of those places for girls with expensive cappucino, 2,80€ 5 years ago was expensive. No need. I'm just a simple bro.

Like 5 years passed, I came here again because everything in the area was full. We ordered 2 cappus, one of them decaf, 2 cakes and later pierogi. After Corona inflation and war inflation, the cappucino is still 2,80€! So now it is actually cheap.

As we ordered one thing after the other it built up a momentum because everything is surprisingly very good, we comented and make enjoyment faces to each other. One thing after the other, 2 people at the table both naively impressed.

Berlin has good standards, but its hard to have everything amazing in a table with coffee, sweet and savory. The pierogi also were also top.

Everything made there, the dough and everything. I guess that makes the difference.

Katulki you are...

Don't go here! Looks nice, but that's about the only positive thing about the place. I ordered a coffee with oat milk (which costs 40 cents extra, like... why hate on your vegan or lactose intolerant customers like that? I also saw decaffeinated and soy milk cost 40 cents extra... that's just mean), but they gave me cow's milk whilst I'm intolerant! I've been feeling sick for the entire day. Never going here again, and I don't recommend others do since they do not take dietary wishes nor ethics seriously. Besides this mistake, they let us wait for a long time - we had to come up to the counter to make an order, and they were...

We waited an hour and a half four one of our three meals. We had to ask where every part of our meal was because it was taking so long. When I asked for the last time where the last two meals where, one of the staff members got very angry at me and eventually said, ‘f**k you’ under her breath when she thought I couldn’t hear. If you’re going to be this busy you must employ more staff AND train them better to deal with complaints. I’ve NEVER been spoken to like this in over 15 years of touring and travelling the world. I was shocked to be spoken to like this having not been rude or swore at...

It's ok, not bad~ The pierogi was very nice. Cakes are alright... I like the way it looks (a bit rustic), cream has a cheesy touch, which is nice, though the sponge is a tad dry and the portion is a bit meager. Service is fine, though the man was a lot friendlier than the gals. The first one, I think just too busy... the second one, just very stoic (but not mean). Not sure if I would come back, but mostly because there's far too many options for nice cakes in this area. Although it's a quiet place and the porcelain is very cute.

A very relaxing and cosy atmosphere! Café Katulki quickly became my favourite café in Berlin. I absolutely loved my vegan sandwich made with beetroot hummus, and the flat white coffee I had was perfect. The vegan pierogies are a must try! Delicious! A perfectly marinated beetroot salad was served alongside with it. The sausage sandwich is a tasty option for meat lovers. Also, the homemade cheesecake is delicious! Everything is served on a very cute porcelain tableware. The staff is friendly and helpful.
