Tapas Review
charcoal chicken popcorn Texture was good for the batter. The actual chicken could’ve been marinated - there was a lemon wedge but the flavor was lacking. Maybe making the mayonaise a bit more lemony would help but basically, by ordering this dish you are playing it safe.
squid with watermelon Be warned the watermelon is slippery!! The watermelon pieces are cut a bit too big. Making it difficult to eat with chopsticks. Squid was super yummy. Ideally they would toss the calamari in the sauce and then garnish with fresh watermelon in terms of the layering of flavor. The idea of combining the two flavors is really exciting but the execution was lacking.
truffle spinach cod roe salad Keeping on trend with this flavour combination this dish is simple and delicious.
kim chi yum.
beef tartare Where to start… Too warm, under salted and served with a bread that was prominently soft and sweet meant that the delicate flavor of tartare was totally missed. Slightly cooler tartare and a crisp and better made bread would elevate this dish. If you are a lover of tartare, as it is now, it does not come recommended.
Sweet potato fries On the chunkier side of fries. Skinless, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside made these some seriously delicious fries!
The drinks were good. Cocktails on point.
Going again? Yes, but not for a full range of tapas dishes. A snack of something accompanying drinks - perfekt.
Side note: waiters super cute & accommodating. vibe & location was fantastic. A smile will take you far in this...
Read moreWe had a disappointing experience which was unfortunate because the food and ambiance were great.
We asked if we could move inside, and a staff member said she’d check but then ignored us. Meanwhile, other tables were allowed in immediately. When we asked another staff member, she let us in but told us we had to leave after an hour—something we didn’t hear being said to anyone else.
When our food arrived, we quickly realized we had been given the wrong dish. Before we could even say anything, the same staff member came back, told us we were eating the wrong meal, and didn’t apologize. Instead, she insisted we’d be charged for both, even though the mistake wasn’t ours. After we refused, she took the dish back.
When our hour was up, we were told to leave. At the register, I still left a small tip, but the server stared at the screen which made me uncomfortable. After that she didn’t say thank you or goodbye.
It’s a shame because the food was genuinely delicious, but the service from multiple staff members made the experience frustrating and uncomfortable. Service is extremely important for an enjoyable experience and everyone should be...

We visited on a bustling Friday night and were glad we’d reserved a table. The interior stands out with a creative mix of rustic modernity and vintage-chic, paired with bold neo-design touches. Be prepared for a lively soundscape when the place fills up.
We ordered a colorful selection of aperitifs and tacos, with the Sake no Tataki clearly being the highlight – fresh, balanced, and full of umami. While the other dishes were well-prepared, they didn’t fully deliver on the menu’s promise of bold flavor fusion. We had hoped for more adventurous combinations, especially given the vast potential of Japanese cuisine as a fusion base.
The service was friendly and fast, and impressively, our food arrived in under 10 minutes. Portion sizes were decent, though prices are definitely on the higher side – fitting for a scene restaurant in Berlin.
This restaurant is great for date nights, small groups, or anyone looking for a stylish night out in Neukölln with a modern...
