My sister and I went for lunch last friday 3rd, and although it's been a few weeks, I wanted to share something I think is important. We both ordered shakshuka, and I told the waitress that I'm allergic to parsley, clarifying that it's not a dislike, but that I'm actually allergic to it. The waitress warned me that all the dishes contained parsley. I told her that it was my third visit and that I always find something to eat without problems (traces being fine, it's just a matter of avoiding parsley as a garnish or choose something else when that's not possible). She said she suspected that the green shakshuka might contain parsley and suggested I order only the red shakshuka, which was fine by me, but she went to check with the kitchen just in case and came back saying that the kitchen had said that they would “manage”, so we confirmed the order for the green and red shakshukas. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction on my way home, about 20 minutes after leaving the restaurant. As I also work in the food industry, I know that it can be difficult to accommodate customers' preferences or intolerances. In this case, I would have been happy with the red shakshuka, I'm not a stubborn customer. I also know that mistakes happen, and that's okay. I just didn't want to leave open the possibility that someone in the kitchen might think that an allergy (described as such) could be a customer preference, a whim, or some kind of attention-seeking behaviour. That's all! I couldn't find anywhere else to send this, I hope someone reads it eventually! The place is...
Read moreAbsolute arrogance of the male waiter with the ponytail. We were on the waiting list, he „came to search for us“ and despite sitting on the bench directly in front of the restaurant, apparently he hasn‘t seen us. Then after getting a table 15mins later than promised, we sat for another 20mins. People who came after us got to order first, we were still waiting. We stood up and left and received the most sassy answer I‘ve EVER experienced in a restaurant, we were blamed for not asking to order, instead of an apology. Never in any restaurant did I have to beg to order. Besides the fact that I even wanted to, multiple times I turned around to make eye contact but there was zero awareness shown and checking on your guests seems to be a difficult task for the staff. We were polite, obviously patient and kind the whole time and this arrogant server ruined our afternoon. I told the waiter that we are leaving because we weren’t served for 20minutes and the reply was simply „If you don’t like it here, you can leave“. Absolutely unbelievable choice of words. I can‘t say anything about the food as we obviously were unable to get food in more than an hour entire waiting time.
Multiple reviews here mention the arrogance of the staff and it‘s both surprising and disappointing that this can...
Read moreThis place serves higher-end cuisine that draws inspiration from different middle-eastern cuisines (predominantly Jewish/Israeli). Very daring to do something like this in NK, given the competition. Although dishes may sound and look simple, they are extremely well designed by people with incredibly good taste. I'm a regular who often brings friends, and I still have a hard time recommending specific dishes, but the cauliflower is my personal favorite. Recommendation: if you're more than one person, order their silky smooth and creamy hummus for sharing. They serve great wine too that matches the food perfectly. Beautiful place, especially inside and a great atmosphere. Staff is professional and quick. It's and extremely popular place, and you might have a hard time finding a table. If you live nearby, the best thing is visiting them and booking one for the evening/next day on the spot as sometimes they are so busy that they don't answer the phone. Keep on the great work and...
