Crêplala — Restaurant in Berlin

Update/reply: as your website says loud and clear that reservations are not possible and you didn't ask anything about a booking, I obviously wasn't aware that those tables were booked, hence my dismay. I hope you can understand how confusing that is.

This place had been on my list for a while and I was really excited to have a crêpe here! I traveled for 1 hour and arrived 30 min after they had opened. The place was quite full already, but there were still 2 free tables. When I was about to sit down, the chef said they couldn’t serve just 1 person? No table for 1? I don’t understand … Believe me, I would’ve liked to have had some company as well, but to refuse a customer just because they’d occupy a (small) table by themselves is quite odd and unfair. I want to give this place another chance, but it seems pretty difficult to get hold of...

Als Berliner ist man ja einiges gewohnt, aber ich habe selten sowas unfreundliches und unverschämtes erlebt. Und wir waren durchweg freundlich und höflich. Die (wahrscheinlich) Besitzerin hat uns von Anfang an nur angepflaumt und als wir (ohne zu bestellen) wieder gegangen sind, hat sie uns noch "noch besser" nachgerufen. Die gute Frau hat den falschen Beruf gewählt.

Update 24.07.: Auf diese Reaktion habe ich nur gewartet. Dieselbe patzige und herablassend Antwort, wie bei allen anderen negativen Bewertungen zu der Unfreundlichkeit der Inhaberin. Wer sich ein Bild vom Auftreten dieser Person machen will, muss sich nur ihre Antworten zu den negativen Bewertungen ansehen.

Unfreundlich, herablassend und obendrein und auch noch dreistes Lügen. 1. Wir waren sicher nicht laut! 2. ES waren genau zwei Tische, die wir zusammen geschoben haben. Und die waren auch nicht auf dem Gehweg, sondern im selben Bereich wie alle anderen Tisch auch. Es wäre auch kein Problem gewesen, wenn wir freundlich darauf hingewiesen worden wären. Der Ton macht die Musik. 3. Wurde uns nichts angeboten. Wir wurden nur angepflaumt. 4. Auch bzgl. der Antwort zur harmlosen Zutatenfrage, war es nicht der Inhalt, sondern die Art und Weise, wie sie gegeben wurde. In der Tat gibt es Menschen mit einer Ei-Allergie und wenn schon glutenfrei beworben wird, darf man ja hoffen und fragen.

Die irritieren Blicke gab es ab dem Moment, wo wir grundlos so unverschämt behandelt wurden! Offensichtlich haben sie gelernt auf Bewertungen zu antworten. Es ist nicht zu spät etwas Selbstreflektion und anständiges Benehmen zu lernen. Viel Glück und Erfolg dabei. Ich würde es ihnen und Ihren...

Can't reccomend this place enough, especially if you feel like going on a cozy date on a cold winter day/evening. The setting is surreal for the center of Berlin. It consists of a small hut with less than 10 tables, a visible small kitchen, and a couple cooking the dishes and directly bringing them over to the table.
