Food and wine: excellent. Their recommendations were perfect. Portions were large. Environment was aesthetically cozy and quirky and lovely. They didn't want to serve me tap water—Germans tend to be real jerks about allowing access to universal clean efficient running water, usually trying to force you to support the expensive and toxic and polluting and sociopathic bottled-water scam—but after telling me "We don't serve tap water" they made an exception and found me some. My more serious complaint: a table of smokers right outside the door, with their waste blowing directly in, so there were times that the only thing I could taste was cigarettes. I have to edit my review on this place. The service is so friendly, the food is really well prepared, and the location is convenient.

We have been here a few times and bring people here also, because they make you feel like home and welcome even if you have only been here a few.

The fish is always good, pizza really good for only 7€, weekly specials are always very good and varied, the house wines are easily drinkable and affordabe.

Be sure to make a reservation, especially on high traffic evenings or you will cause them pain and embarrassment as they will have to send you away. It really is almost always full from Thursday to Sunday. You could get lucky during the week if you come...

The food was incredible. This is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. The staff were very friendly and patient to explain the menu to us as we don’t speak German. We ordered the platter with several types of salami, cheese and octopus, eggplant as the appetizer. All is very flavourful. I ordered a full fish as the main dish and it was very fresh and tasty. My wife ordered a pasta with shrimp that was recommended by the owner. She really loved it. We will definitely come back if we ever come to visit this neighborhood. Highly...
