East Moon — Restaurant in Berlin

The food was okay, but the service was appalling. We entered this restaurant on Sunday for lunch, and the welcome was horrible. First of all, they wouldn't let us charge a phone by plugging it into one of the available outlets in the restaurant, telling us it would be better to go to a bar if we wanted to charge our phone. Despite our polite request explaining that, for family reasons, we needed to have the phone charged, they denied us the possibility. Moving on: they brought us the menu, two minutes passed, and they came to ask if we had decided what to order. When we said no, they came back after another two minutes, and the waiter, very annoyed, told me: "You need to choose what to eat because there are other customers waiting outside."

Meanwhile, the situation was as follows: next to us, there were four people sitting at a table playing cards, and another four people who had arrived with us were completely forgotten. When I complained about the waiter's rude and annoyed attitude, instead of apologizing, he continued to argue that we had been sitting there for a whole 5 minutes without ordering.

The argument continued for another 5 minutes, bringing the total waiting time for our order to a full 10 minutes, which made our waiter lose it. Instead of bringing me the bottle of wine I had ordered, he brought me a glass.

What can I say? Not only did he fail to rush us through like battery hens to make space for other customers and generate more revenue (it was 12 p.m. on a Sunday, and there were maybe 15 people in the whole restaurant, no line outside), but he also failed to make any revenue from me, as I would have spent a lot on the bottle but ended up with just a glass.

If I could put less than one star, I definitely would. My friend and I went to have lunch there because we love Vietnamese food. Unfortunately that place gave us such a bad experience. The staff is extremely unprofessional. They reply to almost all questions in a rude way. They got our order wrong (which is totally ok) and when we told them, they reacted arrogantly. Which surprised us a lot. The food is bland. It’s like they don’t put any effort in it. I ordered spring rolls and they literally tasted like trash. We paid a lot and felt so bad after. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went there a second time. As I ordered coffee, I realised how unsanitary the staff is. As one of the staff was preparing my drink, I asked for less ice and she grabbed the ice in the cup with her bare hands.. the same hands she uses to do a thousand other things with.. if that’s how they deal with one drink, I would not be surprised, if that’s how they deal with food as well. I payed for my order, the waiter took the money and simply left without giving me my change. So I pointed it out and he was not happy with me asking for my change. Absurd. So Hi every body Yestetday night i decided to have some meal in this restaurant 1st- Interior dedign is good.they put too many details inside shop 2nd- waitress is abit like robot she must take her self abot lockal, when customer ask about size of food how big is it she answer very hard is small but how small is one plate or bowl she can not answer about it 3rd- i come now in important part of food The manager of restaurant “actually most of vietnam manager “ they think the customer all are stupid They make food as such stupid method and being to customer I orders papaya salad , they bring such stupid salad that i can not name that sald as papaya salad cus no any chili , no any limon teast , no any garlic , no any fish souse , nothing orginal food there Many people they recomemt it nice cuz they really dont know what is real Vietnam food and managers think all are same but this is good when u try to control quality of your restaurant I never ever offer this...
